    Abstract: Various embodiments may relate to a circuit arrangement for operating at least one discharge lamp having a commutation device and a control device which is coupled to the commutation device. A first measuring device is used to determine in each case first measurement values, which represent a measure of the magnitude of electrode peaks of the discharge lamp, within a test operating phase in which the first electrode and the second electrode are supplied with energy in an asymmetrical manner. A second measuring device is used to determine a second measurement value which is correlated with the current through the discharge lamp at least during the test operating phase. The control device is designed to actuate the commutation device at least as a function of the determined first measurement values and second measurement values. Various embodiments further relate to a corresponding method for operating at least one discharge lamp.
