Abstract:
THERE IS DISCLOSED A DISC CARTRIDGE COMPRISING AN OPTICAL DISC (13), FIRST AND SECOND HALVES (15), (16) AND SLIDE SHUTTER (14), WHICH THE SLIDE SHUTTER (14) IS REMOVABLY SUPPORTED BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND HALVES (15) AND (16), WHEREBY IT IS POSSIBLE TO PREVENT ERRONOUS OPENING AND CLOSING OPERATIONS BY MAKING IT DIFFICULT FOR A USER'S HAND TO TOUCH AS WELL AS TO PREVENT A LOSS OF AN INFORMATION RECORD BY SUCH AN ARRANGEMENT WICH IS DIFFICULT FOR MINUTE TRASH AND DUST TO INTRUDE.
Abstract:
A disc cartridge comprising: a cartridge housing (12), said cartridge housing having a first half (15) and a second half (16), said first half being structurally adapted to mate with second half, said second half having a second half opening (35); an inner case (17), said inner case having a side surface, an upper surface, and an inner case opening (30) in said upper surface, said inner case opening being in alignment with said second half opening, said inner case opening and said second half opening forming an opening window; and a shutter member (14), said shutter member being structurally adapted to travel along a guide groove (15) to open and close said opening window, wherein said shutter member further comprises a shutter main body (14a), and a shutter slide supporting portion (14b) at a distal end of said shutter member, said shutter slide supporting portion engaging said guide groove, wherein said shutter main body includes a pressuring projection (42) thereon, said pressuring projection being in contact with said second half, said pressuring projection being structurally adapted to push said shutter main body against said inner case.
Abstract:
A countermeasure against dust is presented by making as small as possible a gap formed between a cartridge housing and an opening and closing door. To this end, an opening window is provided through one plane portion of the cartridge housing opposing an information recording surface of an optical disk and the opening and closing door is swung along a plane of this plane portion.

Abstract:
An optical head enabling a size reduction so that the optical head can be stored in an opening of a cartridge for a disk and enabling an improvement in the dynamic performance as the density and transfer rate are increased is provided. In a two-axis actuator optical head capable of driving an objective lens (102) along the Z axis in the focus direction, that is, vertical to the surface of the optical disk and along the X axis in the tracking direction, that is, the radial direction of the optical disk. The objective lens (102) is disposed in the center of the coil bobbin (101), a focusing coil (103) is disposed around the coil bobbin (101) and is wound around the X axis, and tracking coils (104a and 104b) are disposed on both ends of the coil bobbin (101) in the X axis direction and are wound around the X axis. Pairs of magnets (107a to 107d) are disposed plane-symmetrically with the Z-Y plane including the Z axis aligned with the optical axis of the objective lens (102) and the Y axis and with the Z-X plane including the Z axis and the X axis.
Abstract:
A microparticle sorting device that automatically and accurately adjusts the positions of a fluid stream and a collection container is provided. The microparticle sorting device including a pair of deflecting plates that face each other with a passage area of a fluid stream therebetween, a camera that captures the image of the fluid stream, and a fluid stream detection light source that emits light parallel to a direction in which the deflecting plates face each other and that is movable in a direction perpendicular to the fluid stream and the light is provided. In the microparticle sorting device, the collection container that receives the fluid stream is mounted so as to be movable in the direction perpendicular to the fluid stream and the light.
Abstract:
By multiplexing a drive signal of an actuator with a drive signal of an aberration correction mechanism when transmitting them, it is possible to simplify and reduce size of an optical pickup even if the aberration correction mechanism is composed of liquid crystal or the like. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent deterioration of various characteristics.
