Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure excellent image display quality, by correcting a thermal gradient in a panel surface in a liquid crystal panel, even with a tendency of increasing a calorific value from a heat source.
SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display has: a light source for emitting the light, the liquid crystal panel 13 for passing the light from the light source; a top chassis 14 for covering the front side of the liquid crystal panel 13; and a middle chassis 15 interposed between a back chassis positioned on the back face side of the liquid crystal panel 13 and the liquid crystal panel 13, and has a liquid crystal module constituted by sandwiching the outer periphery of the liquid crystal panel 13 by the top chassis 14 and the middle chassis 15, and has heat insulating means 16a and 16b for cutting off heat conduction to the liquid crystal panel 13 from the light source.
