A pinch roller arm 29 is turned around a center of a shaft 30 to approach a capstan 6, while a brake arm 34 is moved with its engagement pin 37 along a cam groove 38, so that a brake shoe 36 is separated from a circumferential surface of a reel base 8 on the supply side. A brake arm 39 is moved with its pin 42 along a groove 42, so that a claw 41 is engaged with a tooth 9a of a reel base 9 on the take-up side so as to stop the rotation of a reel 103. When the chassis 7 reaches the frontmost end, a recording/reproducing mode becomes effective, and individual members are stayed in their respective prescribed positions.

The retracting block is in a state where the block is apart forward from a front end within a moving range of a part 20a to be pressed of a carriage 20 pressed by the retracting block in a cartridge loading state and a charging detecting switch 38 is on. When the retracting block is moved backward by the ejecting operation, the charging detecting switch is off before the retracting block comes into contact with the pressed part of the carriage.

A shutter sliding region which is arranged and installed at the inner side of the upper plate 21 and the lower plate 22, and in which the shutter member 61 is slid, is contained. The thickness of other regions excluding repective protrusion parts 27, 28 is formed to be thin. As a result, a flexible magnetic disk 5 can be turned and driven stably.

When the tape 19 arrives at the loading terminal position, the shaft of the guide 15 is engaged with the receiving groove 21a of a guide base displacing member 21 to displace the base 17 and abut the inclined guide 16 against the tape 19 and a swing arm 29 is rotated in the clockwise direction to set up the cylinder 13 on a prescribed position. Thereby, the tape 19 can be prevented from being damaged by upper and lower flange parts due to the abutment of the inclined guide 16 against the tape 19 on the way of loading.

SOLUTION: A plurality of slits 35a for distributing gas is provided in a side wall 35 of a housing 3. The plurality of slits 35a are provided to be inclined to the opposite side from the inclination of a blade 7 with respect to the axial direction (direction Z) of rotation of an axial flow impeller 5. The air taken into the housing 3 via the slits 35a regulates swirling flow occurring at an end of the blade 7. In the axial direction, the position of a lower end of each slit 35a is in a position near a discharge port 3b than the lower end of the blade 7. As the occurrence of swirling flow is suppressed, noise is reduced, and an air amount can be increased. The side wall 35 of the housing 3 is formed of one annular plate having a constant thickness.
