Abstract:
The invention discloses a corrugated packaging material with a low weight and high strength properties, which material can be recycled with the office paper recycling stream. The corrugated packaging material of the invention exhibits good strength and stiffness properties, a low wash board tendency and provides a good printing surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a corrugated board comprising an adhesive arranged to attach a fluted corrugated medium to a liner wherein the adhesive comprises starch and microfibrillated cellulose. The invention also relates to a method to produce said corrugated board.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method to produce a linerboard exhibiting a high bending resistance and a high compression strength, which in turn provides high resistance to interflute buckling and sagging in a thereof formed corrugated board. This is achieved by the inventive combination of an optimized fiber refining level of the furnish in each layer of the linerboard, the separate formation of the top layer and the use of a multi-layer headbox to form the two-layered ply. In addition, the linerboard made according to the invention provides good printing properties in a thereof produced corrugated board, especially in flexographic printing, without the fluting structure being negatively affected.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a lightweight linerboard for corrugated board with good strength properties and which reduces problems with washboarding in the thereof produced corrugated board. The linerboard of the invention comprises at least one ply comprising 20 - 80 wt% CTMP from wood fibers and 20 - 80 wt% chemical pulp, all percentages calculated on the total fiber weight of said first ply, wherein the CTMP exhibits a bulk of at least 2.5 cm 3 /g.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a ply of a linerboard for corrugated board, which ply exhibits high strength properties and which enables the production of lightweight linerboards. The ply of the invention comprises 20 –80 wt % CTMP from wood fibers and 80 –20 wt% chemical pulp, calculated on the total fiber weight of said ply and strength additives chosen from the group of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), anionic or cationic polymers and starchor combinations thereof. The ply exhibits a geometric SCT index of above 22 Nm/g and a density of below 680 kg/m 3 , preferably of below 650 kg/m 3.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a material suitable for use in packages comprising nano-sized cellulose and an ethylene scavenging or ethylene absorbing agent. The invention also relates to methods for manufacturing such material, which may be paper, label, paperboard, plastic or film products.
Abstract:
A corrugated fiberboard comprising cellulosic fibers, wherein said corrugated fiberboard has at least one of a geometrical tensile index in the range of from 32 to 65 Nm/g, a fracture toughness index in the range of from 4 to 24 Jm/kg, and a ring crush index in the range of from 5 to 10 Nm/g5 measured at relative humidity of 85% RH; wherein the cellulosic fibers comprises a mixture of less refined fibers having a Schopper-Riegler (SR) value in the range of 15 to 28 and microfibrillated cellulose fibers, wherein mixture comprises said microfibrillated cellulose in a range of from 1% to 5% by weight of the dry content of the cellulosic fibers.
