Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Schmitt trigger circuit which is improved to establish a hysteresis without using any feedback mechanism. SOLUTION: The hysteresis tripping point of an improved Schmitt trigger circuit 10 is decided in two input inverter steps (steps 1 and 2). In the first step 1, various Schmitt trigger circuit levels can be generated by changing the ratio between inverters 12 and 14. In the first step, in addition, hystereses become independently controllable by tripping points of the inverters 12 and 14.
