Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laterally arranged blind, capable of ensuring cutoff of incident light into a room when slats are fully closed. SOLUTION: The upper half 10 and the lower half 11 of slats 2 are connected to each other in a flexible manner, the upper edges of plural slats 2 are suspended and supported from a first angle adjustable cord suspended and supported from a head box at equal intervals, smaller than the width of the slats 2, and the lower edge of the upper half of the slats 2 is connected to a second angle adjustable cord 4 suspended and supported from the head box, so that at least one of the upper edge and the lower edge of the upper half of the slats 2 can be moved up and down with the first and second angle adjustable cords 4. In this way, the upper half 10 is made angle-adjustable in the condition that the lower half 11 is hung down from the lower edge of the upper half.
