Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting tool which heightens the rigidity of a rotor integrated with a blade (IBR) during the process that the air foil shape of a rotor blade for a gas turbine engine is in the final stage of machining. SOLUTION: A fixture 10 includes a rigid ring 12 surrounding the periphery of an IBR 14, and the ring 12 supports a taper pin 16 and is positioned in the space between blades 20. The space is formed by a casting process from a medium such as plaster or plastics in such a way that the ring is secured to the IBR, and thereby the structural integration is heightened. In the condition that the pins 16 are installed in every other inter-blade spaces, the blade surfaces confronting the spaces with no pin provided are subjected to machining process. Then a casting medium is melted and the pins are removed from the IBR, and in the condition that pins are installed in those spaces which are machined first, the blade surfaces confronting the spaces with pins removed are subjected to machining, followed by removal of pins again.
