Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for controlling gaps of a postal matter sorting stand by measuring the weight of the postal matter is provided to reduce a workload and to shorten times for sorting the postal matters as the weight of a sorting partition is increased by measuring the weight of the postal matter so that a space of the sorting partition is automatically increased. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling gaps of a postal matter sorting stand by measuring the weight of the postal matter comprises the following steps: providing the weight of the postal matter from a weight sensor installed at a sorting partition to a control unit (S20); comparing the weight of the postal matter and the predetermined weight according to sizes of the postal matter inputted by a selecting button (S30); and controlling a gap of the sorting partition by operating an ascending/descending driver according to comparison results (S50, S60).
