Abstract: A blood filtering machine (1) having a blood circuit (2), which has a plurality of ducts (5a-5c) made of a transparent material, and a measuring system (7), which has a plurality of optical sensors (8a-8c) coupled to respective ducts (5a- 5c). Each optical sensor (8a-8c) has a reading window (10) placed in a point of the respective duct (5a-5c), a light emitter (11) and a light receiver (12). The measuring system (7) comprises one single spectrometer (14), an optical mixer (13) comprising a plurality of inputs, each connected to the light receiver (12) of a respective one of the optical sensors (8a-8c), and an output, which is connected to an input of the spectrometer (14), and a control unit (17) is configured to activate the light emitter (11) of one optical sensor (8a-8c) at a time so as to measure a parameter of one organic fluid at a time.

Abstract: A method implemented by a software for a multimodal evaluation engine stored on a memory is provided herein. The software is executable by a processor coupled to the memory to cause the method. The method includes receiving multimodal signatures of an object of interest from inspection elements and processing the multimodal signatures to transform the multimodal signatures into formats. The method also includes generating data representations of the formats and detecting whether anomalies are present within the object of interest based on the data representations.

Abstract: A method of image processing includes receiving a first RGB image of human skin. The first image corresponds to a first, uniform broadband illumination condition. The method also includes receiving a second RGB image which has the same field of view and contents as the first image. The second image corresponds to a second illumination condition which comprises a uniform narrowband illumination condition. The method also includes processing the first and second images to fit parameter maps for a spectral bidirectional scattering surface reflectance distribution function skin model. The parameter maps include a modelled melanin concentration, a modelled haemoglobin concentration, a modelled melanin blend-type fraction and a modelled epidermal haemoglobin fraction. At least three of the parameter maps are independent.
