Abstract:
An analyser arrangement for provision of information about a facility by means of root cause analysis is disclosed. The analyser arrangement comprises storage means for storing a data model that associates with the facility. The data model provides information about possible events, hypotheses for the root causes of the possible events and symptoms for the hypotheses. Processor means for root cause analysis based on the data model are also provided. Additional information for use in root cause analysis is input into the arrangement by means of a user interface. Adaptation means are provided for modification of the data model based on said additional information.

A device for continuous casting of metal, comprising an electromagnetic brake that includes at least one downwardly open mould comprising cooled copper plates (1a, 1b) that form a chilled casting mould with a rectangular cross section, wherein said mould is adapted to be supplied with an incoming primary flow of melt. Magnets (4) are adapted to generate at least one static or periodic low-frequency magnetic field to act in the path of the inflowing melt and to split up the primary flow as well as to control possible secondary flows. Each magnet (4) comprises at least one magnetically conducting core (5, 6, 7, 8) and at least one yoke (13), which together with the magnetically conducting cores forms a magnetic circuit. The magnetically conducting cores are arranged close to the long sides (1a) of the mould and the magnets (4) are arranged to be movable in one plane .
Abstract:
The invention relates to a converter provided with a resonant circuit (16), which converter comprises a control device (24) adapted, in connection with the effectuation of a commutation process, to send control signals at different instants in a given sequence to the current valves (2, 3) and auxiliary valve (18) that are taking part in the commutation process. According to the invention, the control device (24) is, in connection with the effectuation of a commutation process, adapted to determine the time intervals between said instants on the basis of estimated values of the durations of the partial processes included in the commutation process, said durations being estimated with the aid of a measured value of the phase current (i ph ). The invention also relates to a method for controlling such a converter.
Abstract:
An electric power system provides a coordinated and controlled intercommunication and operation of power engineering equipment and converters, e.g., rotating AC machines, power electronic converters and transformers as well as power grids in order to enhance electric power produced by renewable facilities. A viewed from the power grid and its stakeholders' perspective, enhanced renewable facilities are more stiff than conventional renewable facilities, and produce power that is as commercially valuable and fungible as electric power produced by traditional plants such as fossil fuel power plants, hydroelectric plants, nuclear plants and the like. xMs and SMs, or more generally yMs, fulfill the demands of stiffness and reduced variability, which have conventionally limited the commercial usefulness of a large scale use of renewables delivering power to a power grid.
Abstract:
A method, system and inductive device for accurately determining inclination of a shaft arranged with a gear wheel including a plurality of gear teeth. The inductive measuring device includes a transmitter coil (3) and at least two receiving coils (7, 8) arranged adjacent relative an axis of symmetry (9) of the transmitter coil. Voltages in the receiving coils are measured, summed and integrated. A zero value for the integral is used to determine the position of the centre line of the gear tooth 5. The invention may be used for diagnostic and/or control purposes of an internal combustion engine.
Abstract:
A method and an analyser for producing information associated with a process is disclosed. In the method information from information sources that associate with the process is processed to classify said information into characteristic states. Results of said classification are then analysed for producing information associated with at least one root cause for an event by means of at least one analysing technology that is capable of reasoning under at least one uncertainty.

The invention relates to a linear electrical machine comprising a first magnetic core provided with winding, and at least one flux-generating device having at least two flux-generating magnetic flux elements. The flux elements together generate a global flux. The invention also relates to flux elements together generate a global flux. The invention also relates to the use of such a machine and a system comprising such a machine.
