There is provided an audio reproduction device capable of providing audio output through at least one output member and a corresponding method for using the audio reproduction device. The audio reproduction device includes a left output member for transmission of audio, the left output member being able to fit into a user's first ear; a transducer for converting input audio signals into audio output, the transducer being directly coupled to the left output member; an acoustic tube coupled to the left output member for transmission of audio from the transducer, a first end of the acoustic tube being coupled to the left output member; and a right output member for transmission of audio, the right output member being able to fit into the user's second ear, a second end of the acoustic tube being coupled to the right output member.

A noise reduction circuit (200) for a headphone (100) is disclosed herein. In a described embodiment, the headphone (100) includes a speaker driver (110) and the circuit (200) comprises a microphone (112) configured to convert ambient sound into a corresponding electrical ambient signal and which is disposed adjacent to the speaker driver's diaphragm. The circuit (200) further includes an active noise reduction path configured to provide active noise reduction of the ambient sound based on the corresponding electrical ambient signal and a vocal signal compensation path configured to restore attenuated signals within the vocal range of the corresponding electrical ambient signal to increase audibility of vocal signals of the ambient sound. The circuit 200 also includes a switching device (204,210) arranged to selectively deliver the corresponding electrical ambient signal to the active noise reduction path or to the vocal signal compensation path.
Abstract:
There is provided a sound reproduction apparatus including a sub-woofer unit and a plurality of wireless speakers. A method of speaker charging and speaker calibration using the sound reproduction apparatus is also provided. The sub-woofer unit may be configured to perform tasks of both charging a power source in each of the plurality of wireless speakers; and calibrating speaker identity for each of the plurality of wireless speakers. It is advantageous that both of the tasks are performed when the plurality of wireless speakers is coupled to the sub-woofer unit. The speaker identity may include, for example, left front, right front, left rear, right rear, and centre.

The user interface may include a first section showing a first sorted listing of digital files and a second section showing a second sorted listing of groupings by which the digital files in the first sorted listing are grouped. The user interface may be on either a touch-screen display or a non touch-screen display.

A system and method for dynamic bass frequency control, the system comprising: a bandwidth filter coupled to a plurality of switchable electronic components for filtering a frequency range of an input signal; an amplifier coupled to the bandwidth filter and the plurality of switchable electronic components, the amplifier being configured for adjusting amplitude of the filtered frequency range of the input signal based on a configuration of the plurality of switchable electronic components; and a signal level detector coupled to the switchable electronic components for determining signal strength of the input signal, the signal level detector being configured to switch the plurality of switchable electronic components between more than one configuration based on the signal strength of the input signal, each configuration determining the frequency range of the input signal to be filtered by the bandwidth filter and the amplitude adjustment to be made to the filtered frequency range of the input signal by the amplifier.

The control apparatus and method enables control of at least one parameter of audio reproduction depending on contact with a touch sensitive panel. The parameters which may be controlled include, for example, volume, bass, treble, equalizer settings and the like. The functions of the sound reproduction apparatus which may be controlled include, for example, radio channel selection, track selection, album selection and the like.

A sound producing device comprising a sound producing member adapted to fit at an entrance of an ear canal of a user's ear, and a hooking member pivotable about the sound producing member between a first configuration wherein the hooking member is hooked to the user's ear, and a second configuration wherein the hooking member is unhooked from the user's ear. The hooking member comprising a cord holder pivotable at a first end about the sound producing member, and a cord held by the cord holder at a second end of the cord holder. The cord is shaped in a manner such that it curves from the front of the user's ear to the back of the user's ear in the first configuration, wherein the cord holder has a substantially larger cross-sectional area compared with the cross-sectional area of the cord for aiding the user to grip onto the cord holder during use of the sound producing device.

It is preferable that the digital content loaded into the digital storage device is not identifiable at the digital content loading post, and the consolidated digital storage device and the pre-determined accessories are shipped to particulars of the shipping label. A corresponding system is also provided.
