Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator arrangement for reducing the eddy current effects existing in the actuator cores and improving the flux density capability of the actuator. SOLUTION: The actuator arrangement for use in a fuel injector of an internal combustion engine includes: an inner core (30) comprising a plurality of laminates (30a); and a first outer magnetic pole (32) for receiving at least a part of the inner core (30), wherein the inner core (30) and the outer magnetic pole (32) together define a first volume (46) for receiving a first electromagnetic winding. In the injector, the actuator arrangement controls a valve arrangement comprising either a spill valve or a nozzle control valve, or both, so as to control injection by the injector. The actuator arrangement is operable to control movement of the valve arrangement of the injector along an actuator axis, with the lamination axis of the inner core being perpendicular to the actuator axis. A typical composition comprises about 20-50 wt.% of polypropylene or its copolymer, about 20-60 wt.% of a styrenic elastomer, about 5-50 wt.% of linear low-density polyethylene, and about 2-25 wt.% of a hydrocarbon process oil. The zero shear viscosity of the composition suitable for slush molding is in the range of about 300-900 Pa s over the processing temperature of 180-260 °C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enforce further a system stability without compromising on on-center feel and further reduce a noise of a positional differentiator, in particular. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for generating a torque command signal compensated to be applied to an electric steering motor. In one example of a preferred embodiment, this method includes a step for generating an assist torque command signal 64 in response to a measured vehicle speed 42 and an inputted steering torque signal 50. An assist depending attenuation torque signal (74) is generated in response to an assist torque command signal 64, the measured vehicle speed 42 and an accommodated motor speed output value of the electric steering motor. The assisting dependent attenuation torque signal is subtracted (68) from the assist torque command signal 64. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator for combustible gas, and a method for charging and sealing the inflator. SOLUTION: This inflator includes an enclosure to receive combustible gas to be stored under pressure. The enclosure comprises an outer wall including an outer surface, an inner surface, and a charging hole penetrating it. The charging hole comprises a first hole part and a second hole part. The first hole part is close to the outer surface. The second hole part is close to the inner surface. The first hole part is larger than the second hole part. The inflator further includes a sealing member formed to seal the charging hole. The sealing member comprises a first part and a second part. The first part is formed to be tightly engaged with part of the second hole part. The second part is formed to be tightly engaged with part of the first hole part. The first part seals combustible gas in the enclosure. The second part is formed to be welded with the enclosure by a welding process as the combustible gas is ignited when the combustible gas is exposed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a demand for an actuator by passing fuel through two seat portions and flowing into an outlet port, thus applying a reduction lift force to an external needle valve. SOLUTION: This is an injection nozzle for an internal combustion engine. The injection nozzle includes the external needle valve 14 which can be engaged with an external valve seat portion 30 so as to control injection passing through a first nozzle outlet port 20, and an elastic member 60 which can move in the inside of the external needle valve 14 and is supported by the external needle valve 14. The external valve seat portion 30 controls fuel passage amount between a first feed chamber 46 and the first nozzle outlet port 20 by cooperation of the external needle valve 14 and the first seat portion, and between a second feed chamber 49 and the first nozzle outlet port 20 by cooperation of the external needle valve 14 and the second seat portion. SOLUTION: A seal part 20 is attached to a spigot-like housing section 22 to extend around the section. Guide libs 26 for the seal part 20 are disposed between an area of the housing section 22 designed so as to accept the seal part 20 or a seat 24 (refer drawing) and a second latch element 18 adapting a position of before assembly, by taking an insertion direction into consideration. The seal part 20 is supported by the guide libs 26 in a critical area 28 between the seat 24 and the second latch element 18 adapting the position of before assembly in the case of shifting in the direction of the second latch element 18. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively open and quickly close a valve needle 10. SOLUTION: A fuel injector used for an internal combustion engine comprises a valve needle seat 16 and the valve needle 10 which is freely fitted. An actuator 20 shaping a piezoelectric actuator stack 22 is arranged to control fuel pressure in a control room 50, and the surface related to the valve needle 10 is exposed to fuel pressure in the control room. A load transmission means 36, which is desirable to shape a motion invertor, transmits the motion of actuators 20, 22 to the valve needle 10. The load transmission means can freely contract and expand receiving an actuator motion so as to change the fuel pressure in the control room 50, therefor contains a bellows device 42 to control the motion of the valve needle 10 for the valve needle seat 16.
