The present invention is a controller capable of preventing card makers from conducting unauthorized acts. The controller includes: a controller key storage unit 511 configured to hold a controller key that has been generated by a controller manufacturing device in advance; a decryption unit 522 configured to receive encrypted media key information that has been generated by a key issuance center that is authorized and to decrypt the received encrypted media key by using the controller key, the encrypted key information generated through encryption of key information with use of the controller key; and an encryption unit 526 configured to encrypt the decrypted media key again by using an individual key that is unique to the controller.

A power supply system includes a main power storage device and a plurality of sub power storage devices. A converter is connected to a selected one of the sub power storage devices to perform voltage conversion bidirectionally between the selected sub power storage device and an electric power feeding line. A control device executes charging control for controlling input of electric power from a load device to the main power storage device and selected sub power storage device, and switching control for switching electrical connection between the plurality of sub power storage devices and electric power feeding line, according to a braking request of the electric powered vehicle. The control device prohibits or limits, until completion of one of the charging control and switching control, the other control.

During a standstill, a prescribed rotation speed N3, which is lower than a prescribed rotation speed N2 used during a travel at a low vehicle speed, is set as a minimum rotation speed Nemin (S410), and when a demand for an idle operation has been made (S490), the minimum rotation speed Nemin is set as a target rotation speed Ne* and the value 0 is set as a target torque Te* (S500), whereby an engine is controlled. As a result of this, it is possible to improve the fuel consumption of a vehicle when the engine is operated at idle at standstill compared to a case where the engine is operated at idle at the minimum rotation speed Nemin for which the prescribed rotation speed N2 is set regardless of whether or not the vehicle is at a standstill.

A content playback apparatus reduces load concentration on a specific server apparatus that manages content keys of encrypted content, while protecting copyrights of the content. The content apparatus makes playback of content recorded in a recording medium sold possible after the specific server breaks down. A key acquisition control unit (204) reads a playback control information table (211) from a recording medium (102) via a reading unit (201). The key acquisition unit (204) acquires a rights key via a key acquisition intermediation unit (223) from an apparatus specified by an acquisition-destination type and a request-destination type that are stored in the playback control information table (211) and that corresponding to the content to be played. The key acquisition unit (204) generates a content key using the acquired rights key and, when required, a medium key recorded in a medium. A decryption unit (203) decrypts encrypted content using the content key.
Abstract:
Processing load on an executing device for conducting playback is high during the playback of contents since the executing device performs verification of the contents validity in parallel with the contents playback, and therefore the executing device has to be equipped with a highly efficient processor. The present invention reduces the processing load involved in the verification by using, for the verification, only a predetermined number of encrypted units selected randomly from multiple encrypted units constituting encrypted contents recorded on the DVD. In addition, the present invention is capable of improving the accuracy of detecting unauthorized contents to some extent by randomly selecting a predetermined number of encrypted units every time the verification is performed.

A power supply system includes a main power storage device and a plurality of sub power storage devices. When a request for switching the selected sub power storage device in use is generated, a converter steps up voltage on the electric power feeding line to a predetermined voltage, and thereafter a process for switching relays is performed. The predetermined voltage is higher than any of a voltage output from the main power storage device and a voltage output from a sub power storage device to be newly connected to the converter. Further, during the process for switching connection of the relays, upper limits on electric power input/output to/from the selected sub power storage device are set to 0.

An aggregation system aggregates contents recorded on a plurality of recording mediums and recording them onto another recording medium while protecting the copyrights of the contents is provided. The aggregation system includes an aggregation apparatus and a reproduction apparatus. The aggregation apparatus obtains a main content from an optical disc, obtains a sub content from a memory card, and aggregates the obtained main content and sub content and records them onto a portable medium. The reproduction apparatus obtains the main content from the optical disc, obtains reproduction control information for controlling reproduction of the main content, and reproduces the main content recorded on the optical disc based on the reproduction control information.

The object of the present invention is to provide a reproduction apparatus that is capable of preventing personal information of users from being transmitted to an external apparatus that is under management of a malicious person.The reproduction apparatus uses a revocation list and a valid-content list in combination in order to prevent transmission of personal information of users. It is possible to prevent transmission of personal information by revoking certificates to be revoked because of being exposed or hacked at a certain timing, by listing them in the revocation list. Meanwhile, it is possible to allow use of contents that have been manufactured before the exposure, by listing them in the valid-content list. Accordingly, it is possible to realize both the security and the user convenience at the same time.

A content recording/reproducing system, which records and reproduces a sub-content relating to a main content, includes a distribution device, first and second recording media, a recording device and a reproducing device. The first recording medium that is non-rewritable prestores key data based on which a public key is derivable, and the main content. The distribution device outputs verification information that includes the sub-content and is generated by applying a digital signature to relative information relating to the sub-content based on a secret key corresponding to the public key. The recording device acquires and records the verification information on the second recording medium that is rewritable. The reproducing device acquires the key data from the first recording medium and the verification information from the second recording medium, derives the public key from the key data, verifies the verification information using the public key, and reproduces the sub-content if the verification succeeds.
