Abstract:
A sorting apparatus is provided for sorting and stapling sheets discharged from an image forming apparatus. A plurality of vertically driven sheet bins (23, 73) are provided along with a stapler (25) for stapling the sheets while stored in the bins (23, 73). A pair of lateral guides (261, 262) move stacks of sheets in the sheet width direction within the bins. The lateral guides are adapted to abut on either side of the sheets and to position the sheets from an original position into a stapling position in front of the stapler (25).
Abstract:
A transfer device of an image forming machine has a belt unit (30) comprising a pair of supporting plates (35, 36) disposed with a predetermined spacing, a driving roller (43) journaled rotatably at one end portion of the pair of supporting plates, a driven roller (49) journaled rotatably at the other end portion of the pair of supporting plates (35, 36) with a predetermined spacing from the driving roller (43). A transfer roller (50) is disposed between the driving roller (43) and the driven roller (49), journaled rotatably on the pair of supporting plates (35, 36) and given a predetermined voltage. A transfer belt (57) is looped around the driving roller (43), the driven roller (49) and the transfer roller (50), and disposed opposite an image bearing member (3). The transfer belt (57) of the belt unit is formed so as to have a width larger than the spacing between the pair of supporting plates (35, 36) and is disposed such that its side end portions surround at least part of the pair of supporting plates.
Abstract:
A latent electrostatic image developing device using a developer (112) comprising a toner and carrier particles has a development housing (10), in which an upstream agitating/conveying means (62), a midstream agitating/conveying means (64), and a downstream agitating/conveying means (66) are disposed. The upstream agitating/conveying means (62) conveys the developer (112) from the central portion in the widthwise direction toward the opposite end portions in the widthwise direction while agitating it, the midstream agitating/conveying means (64) conveys the developer (112) from the opposite end portions in the widthwise direction toward the central portion in the widthwise direction while agitating it, and the downstream agitating/conveying means (66) conveys the developer (112) from the central portion in the widthwise direction toward the opposite end portions in the widthwise direction while agitating it.
Abstract:
A grounding device for use with an image forming machine comprises an electrically conductive member (4), and radio wave absorbing means (6) associated with the electrically conductive member (4). The electrically conductive member comprises a metal plate or a metal bar. The radio wave absorbing means (6) comprises radio wave absorbing member containing sintered ferrite or ferrite particles, a radio wave absorbing sheet piece containing ferrite particles or a radio wave absorbing paint containing ferrite particles.
Abstract:
There is provided a toner for a two-component type developer, which comprises (i) toner particles comprising a fixing resin having anionic polar groups, a coloring agent, and a magnetic powder which is used in an amount of 0.1 to 5 parts by weight for 100 parts by weight of the fixing resin, and (ii) an additive comprising silica, alumina and titania, and being adhered on surfaces of the toner particles in a total amount of 0.15 to 2 parts by weight for 100 parts by weight of the toner particles, and contains substantially no charge control agent. The toner exhibits a stable chargeability during a long-term use without generation of a spent toner. As a result, the toner suppresses the image fogging and the toner scattering, and ensures a stable image density and a high image quality for a long term.
