PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of reducing power consumption and EMI during image transmission while minimizing degradation of image quality.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 10 includes: a determination unit 120 which determines whether each of a plurality of areas composed of pixel data of a predetermined number of pixels is a first area where any difference value between adjoining pixel data exceeds a threshold, or a second area where all difference values between adjoining pixel data are equal to or smaller than the threshold; a quantization unit 140 which quantizes the difference value between adjoining pixel data for the area determined to be the first area; and a data output unit 170 which outputs the difference value quantized by the quantization unit 140 for the area determined to be the first area, and outputs the difference value between adjoining pixel data for the area determined to be the second area.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable component supply wagons to be exchanged during the operation of a facility while ensuring the safety of workers with an inexpensive system in an electronic component mounting apparatus which can attach/detach the component supply wagons thereto/therefrom.SOLUTION: An apparatus body 1a has an opening 29, which allows a gantry moving space 26a in a cover 27 to communicate with a wagon housing space 25a, and the opening 29 may be closed by a gantry 26 located at a component take-out position where components are taken out from a component supply wagon 31. In the apparatus body 1a, a first sensor 36 for detecting that the gantry 26 closes the opening 29, and second sensors 37, 38, 39 for detecting that the component supply wagon 31 is housed in the wagon housing space 25a, are provided.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of an image definition caused by enlargement of an image signal in a case where a contour emphasis signal is added to the image signal.SOLUTION: A signal processing apparatus 10 comprises: a contour emphasis signal reduction part 130 which reduces a contour emphasis signal from a contour emphasized signal obtained by adding the contour emphasis signal to an image signal, thereby generating a reduced signal; an interpolating and enlarging part 140 which interpolates and enlarges the reduced signal generated by the contour emphasis signal reduction part 130, thereby generating an enlarged signal; and a contour emphasis part 150 which performs contour emphasis on the enlarged signal generated by the interpolating and enlarging part 140.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain image data constituting a part of a screen even if pixel data is not decoded from that at the left end of the screen while suppressing the size of memory to be used for recording encoded data.SOLUTION: An encoder is provided with: a direct encoding part for directly encoding pixel data; a difference encoding part for encoding a difference value between pixel data and pixel data prior to the pixel data; and an encoded data selection part for selective output of the encoded data obtained by the direct encoding part or the difference encoding part. The encoded data selection part selectively outputs encoded data of plural pieces of pixel data obtained by the direct encoding part, in each line.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent large friction force from being generated at the time of pressing with a pressing tool, in a component holding head of a surface mounting machine in which a spindle is moved in a Z direction by pressing an upper end face of the spindle with the pressing tool.SOLUTION: In a component holding head of a surface mounting machine in which a spindle 121 is mounted on a head body so as to be able to rotate in a T direction around its axis line and move in a Z direction along an axial direction, a holding tool for holding a component is mounted on a lower end of the spindle 121, and the spindle is moved in the Z direction by pressing an upper end face 121a of the spindle with the pressing tool 113, the pressing tool 113 includes a plurality of rotation pressing members 113a, 113b which are arranged so as to hold the rotation center in the T direction of the upper end face therebetween at the time of pressing the upper end face 121a of the spindle.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus that has a mounting head with a plurality of nozzles arranged therein, that lengthens the life of an endless belt used in rotating the nozzles around a nozzle shaft (in a direction θ), and that improves the accuracy of positioning the nozzles in the direction θ.SOLUTION: A plurality of driving pulleys 14a and 14b are provided on a driving shaft 13a of a rotary motor 13. Endless belts 16a and 16b are respectively looped over the driving pulleys 14a and 14b and corresponding driven pulleys 15a and 15b. Only inner sides of the respective endless belts 16a and 16b have contact with the driving pulleys 14a and 14b and the driven pulleys 15a and 15b. Fixed idler pulleys for contact with outer sides of the respective endless belts 16a and 16b are not arranged.

Power is transmitted from the transmission unit to the reception unit by an electrical field coupling system, the transmission unit includes a power transmission electrode 21, and the reception unit includes a power reception electrode 14 facing the power transmission electrode 21.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program update system for a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus, the update system updating a control program with an update program, which prevents version mismatch from occurring between control programs after update.SOLUTION: In a control program update system for a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus which provides an update program from a main controller, and updates a control program for a unit controller with the update program, the main controller has version combination data indicating a combination of version information on update programs required for the unit controllers, determines whether a combination of version information on update programs provided to the unit controllers matches version combination data, and if it is determined that a combination of version information on update programs provided to the unit controllers matches version combination data, provides update programs to the unit controllers.
