Abstract: PURPOSE: A hair conditioner composition is provided which contains cationic surfactant, higher fatty alcohol, and aromatic alcohol to condition the hair and has the formulation which makes it easy to coat the hair. CONSTITUTION: The hair conditioner composition comprises 0.1 to 3 wt.% of aromatic alcohol, 0.1 to 5 wt.% of cationic surfactant, and 1 to 10 wt.% of higher fatty alcohol, wherein the aromatic alcohol is selected from phenoxy ethanol, phenoxy isopropanol, phenyl propanol and benzyl alcohol; the cationic surfactant is quaternary ammonium and is selected from behenyltrimethylammonium chloride and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride; the cationic surfactant is tertiary amidoamine and is selected from stearaminopropyldimethylamine and behenylamidopropyldimethylamine; the tertiary amidoamine is neutralized by one or more acids selected from lactic acid, citric acid and L-glutamic acid; and the higher fatty alcohol is selected from cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol and behenyl alcohol.
