    Abstract: PURPOSE: A lithium air battery is provided to restrain the decomposition of solid electrolyte due to discharging products, thereby improving the durability of an electrode, and having high energy density. CONSTITUTION: A lithium air battery comprises a negative electrode capable of charging and discharging lithium ions, a lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte membrane, aqueous electrolyte, and a positive electrode including oxygen as positive electrode active material. The aqueous electrolyte comprises lithium hydroxide and lithium halide. The lithium halide comprises one or more selected from a group consisting of LiF, LiCl, LiBr, and LiI. The lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte is formed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and formed on one surface of the negative electrode.
