Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a spray nozzle and a method for a shot-casting refractory castable using the same, to obtain more dense construction materials, and to improve adhesiveness but to reduce porosity of the construction materials. CONSTITUTION: The spray nozzle(11) includes air inlet tube(2) and an accelerating agent injection tube(3), two being separated from each other but being connected to a mixing unit(4), in which the aperture of the air inlets come in different sizes. More specifically, the ratio of the aperture sizes of the air inlets 6:3:1, in order to increase filling density by more than 20%. Approximately air having 3 - 8kg/cm2 of air pressure is supplied to the air inlets. When refractories in indeterminate form are supplied to the mixing unit(4), the compressed air supplied from the air inlet tube(2) primarily segment the refractories.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is an inorganic paint which is coated on the surface of the refinement ladle or the lance for blowing to prevent the adhesion of ingot gold or slag or to remove the adhered ingot gold or slag. CONSTITUTION: The inorganic paint comprises 40-60 wt% of inorganic powder whose value obtained by dividing the chromate content by the SiC content is 1-4; and the balance of water. At least one selected from odium silicate and potassium silicate whose value obtained by dividing the SiO2 content by the sum of the content of Na2O and the content of K2O is 1.5-3, is added to the inorganic paint in the amount of 10-20 wt% based on the content of the inorganic powder by extrapolation; and a clay-based inorganic compound comprising mainly SiO2 and Al2O3 is added to the inorganic paint in the amount of 0.5-3 wt% based on the content of the inorganic powder by extrapolation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A process for fabricating powdery graphite coated with metal hydrides is provided, which can improve the oxidation resistance of graphite powder in the high temperature of 800 to 1000 deg.C by coating graphite powder with metal hydride uniformly. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of preparing a metal solution by mixing distilled water and aluminium or zirconium sulfate in molar rate of 0.05 to 0.1; mixing graphite powder and the metal solution in rate of 0.3 to 0.7 wt.%; agitating the mixture for 12 to 15 hours in the temperature of 80 to 83 deg.C; drying the mixture after agitation for 12 hours at 100 deg.C.

CONSTITUTION: The alumina castable refractory composition comprises the components of: 75-85wt.% of castable refractory mixture comprising 50-65wt.% of refractory with 1-10mm of size, 25-30wt.% of refractory with 0.075-1mm of size and 10-20wt.% of refractory with less than 0.075mm of size; 15-25wt.% of pellet-shaped coarse aggregate with 10-50mm of size; and optionally 10wt.% of alumina cement including alumina more than 80wt.% as a binder and 5.5-6wt.% of water.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A production method of a metal powder for preventing an oxidation is provided to have the excellent hydration resistance and the stable surface characteristic. CONSTITUTION: Metal Al powder is thermally processed at 550-620deg.C for 0.5hours in an oxygen partial pressure within 5X10¬-2 2X10¬-1 atm range. An Al2O3 oxidation layer is formed in the surface of the Al particle. Thereby, hydrogen gas is not generated and a hot oxidation of a black lead is prevented when mixing the Al metal powder with water. Moreover, a life of a refractory is lengthened by suppressing the oxidation of the black lead at high temperature.
