A light collecting sheet for scratch prevention and a backlight unit for a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to improve visibility of the light collecting sheet by changing a shape and arrangement of a lenticular lens. A main body(102) includes a flat shape. A plurality of prisms(110) are arranged on one side of the main body. A lenticular lens(120) is formed to be protruded from the surface of the prism. The lenticular lens is atypically arranged on the surface of the prism. A radius of curvature of the lenticular lens is 1~100mum.

A light guide panel for a backlight unit including an optical member and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to improve visibility by enhancing luminance of a whole surface of a panel. A light guide panel main body(100) comprises a side surface(102), a front surface(104), and a rear surface(106). A light is incident through the side surface. The front surface is connected to the side surface, is faced with a panel of a liquid crystal display device, and radiates a light into a panel side of the liquid crystal display device. The rear surface is faced with the front surface, and reflects a light. A main prism part(120) comprised of a prism(122) is formed on the rear surface, and uniformizes a luminance distribution of the front surface of the light guide panel. A front lens part(140) comprised of an optical member(142) is formed on the front surface, and is used in order to improve optical property and visibility.

An optical film including optical member on rear surface and a backlight unit for liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to improve moire effect generated between a light guide plate pattern and a panel pattern by including a pattern capable of controlling path of a light. An optical film includes a rear surface and a front surface. The rear surface receives a light. The front surface radiates the light. A light condensing part is formed on the front surface, and is composed of a plurality of prisms. A diffusion part is formed on the rear surface, is composed of a plurality of optical members having a cross section of elliptic shape, and diffuses the light.

A light guide panel for a liquid crystal display having a light diffusion material and a back light unit using the same are provided to remove a dark part and a light part from an end part and an edge part by diffusing sufficiently light therefrom. A light guide panel for a liquid crystal display includes a lateral surface(201) for receiving incident light, a front surface(203) connected with the lateral surface in order to output the light, and a rear surface(205) for reflecting the light. A front prism(210) is installed in the front surface of the light guide panel for the liquid crystal display. The front prism has a predetermined sectional surface. A light diffusion material is distributed onto a surface or inner and outer surfaces of the front prism. An optical pattern is formed on the rear surface in order to reflect the light.

A light guide plate for an LED backlight unit having an asymmetric front prism is provided to use a light source of the backlight unit efficiently by optimizing viewing angle distribution according to a request of a display and remove the necessity for existing DBEF(Dual Brightness Enhancement Film) and DRPF(Diffusive Reflective Polarization Film), thereby reducing manufacturing costs and thickness and providing high brightness and good viewing angle characteristics. A body unit(300) comprises a side(301) where light is applied, and the front(303) and rear(305) for emitting the light. In the rear, a rear prism(320) having a predetermined shape is installed. An asymmetric front prism is formed in the front of the body unit. A section of the asymmetric front prism is formed in a triangle shape. One slope of the asymmetric front prism is processed as a mirror face(308) whose surface is smooth. The other slop is processed as a diffusion surface(307) whose surface is rough.

A light guide plate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) apparatus comprising a stripe pattern, and a backlight unit for the LCD apparatus are provided to increase the amount of light proceeding in a vertical direction while uniformly increasing the amount of light approaching the panel of the LCD apparatus all over the panel, thereby improving brightness, uniformity and visibility. A light guide plate(30) for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) apparatus comprises the followings: a side(301) which light is applied; a front which emits the light; and a rear(305) which reflects the light. A stripe pattern(320) is formed in the rear where a plurality of prisms are arranged. The width of the stripe pattern is increased when the incident light becomes more distant from the side. At this time, the length direction of the prisms arranged within the stripe pattern is perpendicular to the light incident direction from the side.

A body part(300) includes a side surface(301) on which light is incident, and a front surface(303) and a back surface(305) connected to the side surface and emitting the light. Front prisms(310) are disposed at the front surface, and have a predetermined sectional shape. Dots(320) having various shapes are disposed at regular intervals, and the dot has a smaller width in a light incident direction and a direction parallel thereto than a width in a vertical direction. The prism contacting the dot edge among the prisms has an outer surface inclined with respect to the back surface.
