Abstract: A method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding an image are disclosed. The method for image decoding includes the steps of: parsing information about existence of a residual signal for a current block; and obtaining a residual signal of a current block by inducing a scan direction (scanIdx) with respect to the residual signal of the current block based on the information about existence of the residual signal. The information about existence of the residual signal indicates if the residual signal for the current block exists, and the current block may include at least one transform coefficient level, except for 0, when the information about existence of the residual signal indicates that the residual signal in the current block exists.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding video information. The method for encoding video information according to the present invention comprises the steps of: performing a prediction on a current block; and entropy-encoding the predicted information and transmitting the encoded information. The step of performing a prediction includes the steps of: acquiring motion information on a neighboring block from the neighboring block of the current block; and determining motion information on the current block based on the acquired motion information. Abstract: PURPOSE: A candidate list sharing method and a device thereof are provided to perform prediction between screens by allowing a plurality of prediction blocks to share a single candidate list, thereby reducing complexity of the prediction. CONSTITUTION: First and second prediction blocks(600,650) produce a spatial merging candidate from a same spatial merging candidate block and share the spatial merging candidate. An A0 block(605), an A1 block(610), a B0 block(615), a B1 block(620), and a B2 block(625) are used as a spatial merging candidate block for the first and second prediction blocks. The first and second prediction blocks share a temporal merging candidate. Temporal merging candidate blocks(660,670) are induced to a block in a position which is calculated based on an upper left position of a coding block and a size of the coding block.
