Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for generating a MAC protocol data unit and the method for recovering data are provided to recover the entire data by minimizing the waste of the data about a recoverable part in a transmission error of a MAC PDU. CONSTITUTION: Data is transmitted by generating a PDU in a MAC layer. The generated PDU includes a MAC header(10), a plurality of sub headers(20), a plurality of CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Code)s(30), and a plurality of payloads(40). The header includes information corresponding to the MAC layer. The header is positioned in front of the PDU. A first CRC is inserted between the payloads in a PDU generation process. An error generated in a specific bit stream of the payload is used for recovering the other part without an error.

PURPOSE: A method for broadcasting location information of a base station and a receiving method thereof are provided to quickly detect a wireless network and reduce power consumption of a multi mode terminal. CONSTITUTION: A serving base station broadcasts a primary LBS advertisement message(S410). An MS gets broadcast time interval information about the second LBS-ADV message(S430). The serving base station separates location information of base stations belonging to overlapped/adjacent wireless networks(S440). The serving base station broadcasts the second LBS-ADV messages in response to corresponding broadcast time interval information.
Abstract:
An efficient power saving management method in a mobile communications system is provided to increase electric saving efficiency of a mobile terminal by reducing power consumption without data transmission in a broadband wireless connection system. A sleeping mode enter request message is received from a mobile station which desires to enter a sleep mode(S401). The combination of a wireless channel which is set up between the mobile station and base station is analyzed and the sleep window type and parameter are determined. The entering sleep mode response message including the sleep window type and the parameter is transmitted(S402).
Abstract:
A method for allocating resources and a method for receiving data are provided to control a transmission error of data received through a relay station uplink dedicated channel. A base station transmits a resource allocating message to a relay station(S310), and receives a receiving confirmation message about the resource allocating message from the relay station(S320). The receiving confirmation message is included in a header of a relay station uplink dedicated channel. The base station confirms success of a resource allocation in receiving the receiving confirmation message(S340). If the base station does not receive the receiving confirmation message about the resource allocating message from the relay station, the base station retransmits the resource allocating message to the relay station(S330).

A method for establishing an ARQ(Automatic Repeater reQuest) connection in a wireless communication system and a method for transmitting a data frame using an ARQ connection are provided to reduce the transmission error probability of a data frame and improve the transmission reliability of the ARQ connection by establishing multi ARQ connection paths using a repeater station to MMR(Mobile Multi-Hop Relay) system. A method for establishing an ARQ connection in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: receiving an ARQ connection establishment request message from a mobile station(S240); establishing the ARQ connection path between the base station and the mobile station; transmitting the information of the established ARQ connection path to a repeater stations which are located between the base station and the mobile station(S245,S250); and transmitting a response message for a connection establishment success/failure of the ARQ to the mobile station(S255).

PURPOSE: An apparatus for a VoIP service based on Bluetooth and a method therefor are provided to use a VoIP service in the same way using a general telephone. CONSTITUTION: A USB(Universal Serial Bus) connection element(21) communicates data with a computer. A Bluetooth connection element(22) connects with a wireless telephone terminal through voice. An authentication key storage(23) stores an authentication key to be connected to a VoIP(Voice over IP) service provided from a VoIP service provider. The authentication key storage(23) transmits the authentication key to the computer through the USB connection element(21). A controller(24) controls to provide the authentication key according to execution of a VoIP program to execute automatic authentication in the VoIP service. After the authentication, the controller controls voice data transmission through the Bluetooth connection element(22) and the USB connection element(21).

PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing data on the ASN.1(Abstract Syntax Notation) compilation are provided to enhance user's convenience and manage data intuitively by processing a data architecture described in the ASN.1 through a GUI(Graphic User Interface) screen as using a GUI based ASN.1 data compiler. CONSTITUTION: A user interface module generates/outputs a user interface tree for a term of a parsing table to the GUI screen if the parsing table is generated by parsing the data described in the ASN.1. A memory makes a user input a data value to the memory space by allocating the memory space mapped to respective terms of the parsing table. A CODEC(COder/DECoder) encodes/decodes the data value inputted from the user by inputting the data value to the memory space fit to a predetermined terminal node of the user interface tree generated from the user interface module.

PURPOSE: A layer 1/2 setting control method of a adaptation tester for a wireless communication terminal is provided to perform a setting control procedure on a layer 1/2 while maintaining merits of a testing procedure language simpler than C language. CONSTITUTION: A user generates setting control information on a required layer 1/2 through a layer 1/2 setting control information generator and stores it in a layer 1/2 setting control information DB(501). A testing procedure language unit checks whether a setting control procedure should be performed on the layer 1/2 in performing a testing procedure(502). If the setting control procedure needs to be performed on the layer 1/2, the testing procedure language unit reads layer 1/2 setting control information on the basis of a fine name from the layer 1/2 setting control information DB(503). The testing procedure language unit transfers the layer 1/2 setting control information to a corresponding layer(504), and checks whether there is a testing procedure to be performed yet(505).

PURPOSE: An image call processing method of a mobile communication system is provided to induce the conversion of an image call into a voice call to a transmitter without rejecting an image call in a case that a destination terminal can not apply the image call when there is an image call request. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(10) is within a scope of an optional base station(20). The information of the mobile terminal(10) is transmitted to a mobile exchange(40) through base stations(20) and base station controllers(30) for controlling the base stations(20). The information transmitted from the mobile exchange(40) is transmitted to the mobile terminal(10) for receiving a mobile communication service through the base stations(20) and the base station controllers(30) for controlling the base stations(20). The base station(20) plays a role for making the mobile terminal(10) connect to the base station controller(30). The base station(20) consists of a DCU(Digital Channel Unit), a TCU(Timing/frequency Control Unit), a radio frequency unit and a global position system, and performs various functions for subscribers. The base station controller(30) connects the base station(20) to the mobile exchange(40) and controls the connection among base stations. The base station controller(30) also processes and applies a softer, soft and hard handover etc. and performs a signal processing function for the communication with the base station(20) and the mobile exchange(40). The mobile exchange(40) includes an embedded visitor location register. The mobile exchange(40) transmits/receives a signal to/from the base station controller(30), several base stations(20) and a base station management system and thus processes a call of a mobile communication subscriber.

PURPOSE: A multiple disk system and its control method is provided to control a plurality of disk stubs managing each disk, generate a logical cylinder by conceptually integrating cylinders of the physical disk into one logical cylinder, and enable a logical controller to store data with a locality in the logical cylinder so that it can enhance a speedy access and a storage capacity. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a logical controller and a plurality of disks. The logical controller, as a system software, generates a logical cylinder on each disk, and generates logical partitions for a file system based on the logical cylinder. The file system is installed on the logical partitions. The logical controller includes a disk stub, and controls each disk via the disk stub by using a kernel thread. The logical controller offers a single disk image comprising logical cylinders with a serial disk block number. The disk stub, corresponding to each disk, is a disk controller implemented based on the kernel thread.
