PURPOSE: A broadcast data transceiving method in a digital broadcast system and a device thereof are provided to obtain additional transmission capacity while maintaining reverse-compatibility with an ATSC mode. CONSTITUTION: A detector(362) determines whether a level of a main data symbol belongs to a first group. When the level of the main data symbol belongs to the first group, a mapping unit(366) maps the main data symbol in an extension level using a modulation value of additional data. When the level of the main data symbol belongs to a second group, a bypass unit(364) maintains the level of the main data symbol.

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting/receiving a broadcast signal in a digital broadcasting system and a device thereof are provided to efficiently transmit additional data while the device maintains compatibility with an existing digital broadcasting system. CONSTITUTION: A main signal generating unit(802) generates a main signal using main data. First to N additional signal generating units(804,806) generate an additional signal with lower power than the main signal using additional data. An additional signal frame generating unit(812) uses an additional signal frame using the additional signal and a frame header. A broadcast signal generating unit(814) generates the broadcast signal using the main signal and the additional signal frame.

PURPOSE: A broadcasting data transmission system is provided to improve data transmission performance in a fading channel by decoding a data stream. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting data transmission apparatus controls the transmission power of a data stream according to a modulation method about each transmission antenna(310). The broadcasting data transmission apparatus previously codes the data stream controlled by the transmission power using a pre-coding matrix according to the modulation method(320). The broadcasting data transmission apparatus transmits the coded data stream to a reception unit using the transmission antenna(330).

PURPOSE: A T-DMB(Terrestiral-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) transmitter and receiver are provided to improve transfer capacity keeping reverse compatibility. CONSTITUTION: An RS(Reed-Solomon) encoder(320) performs the RS encoding of a broadcasting signal. An FEC(Forward Error Correction) encoder(330) performs the channel encoding of an additional signal. A selector(340) selects the RS-encoded broadcasting signal or the channel-encoded additional signal. A VSB(Vestigial Side Band) transmitting unit(370) transmits the signal through an transmission antenna to a receiver.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling an infrastructure are provided to control remote control objects which are located in a wire region using a simple receiver. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting contents modulator(302) modulates broadcasting contents(301) into a pre-set mode. A signal generator(303) generates information signal for controlling the remote control of an infrastructure. An adding unit(304) combines the modulated broadcasting contents and the information signal. A digital TV(DTV) signal transmitter(305) converts the added signal to DTV broadcasting signal. The DTV signal transmitter transmits the converted DTV broadcasting signal.

PURPOSE: A method of channel equalization using channel estimation and a device for the same are provided to change a channel property in a time domain, thereby improving the performance of channel equalization. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimation unit(330) performs channel estimation using a pilot signal of a frequency domain. A digital filter(310) changes a channel property in a time domain using a channel estimation result estimated from the channel estimation unit. A channel equalization unit(320) performs channel equalization in the frequency domain of a signal changed in the digital filter. The channel estimation unit obtains the channel property in a time domain using the pilot signal of the frequency domain. The channel estimation unit performs channel estimation using the channel property in the obtained time domain.

An apparatus and a method for equalizing the reception channel in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) transmission system and a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiving apparatus applying the same are provided to improve the performance of mobile reception in a transmission system in which pilot signal is not used. A channel estimator(520) estimates channel as a symbol unit with the reference signal received from the standard signal creation part(550). A channel filtering part(530) removes the noises of the presumed channel value. A channel equalization part(540) equalizes the channel by using the estimation channel value. The channel estimator estimates the PRS(Phase Reference Symbol) of the received frame by the reference signal.

A method for multiplexing frame of digital broadcasting signal, apparatus thereof, and transmission apparatus are provided to fit transmission synchronization of a plurality of transmission frames including a service stream about an identical service without a separate field. An apparatus for multiplexing frame of digital broadcasting signal comprises a first buffer(611), a second buffer(612), a time comparison processing unit(630), a first frame generator(651), a second frame generator(652), and a time stamp generator(660). The first buffer stores a first service stream received from outside. The second buffer stores a second service stream received from outside. The time comparison processing unit compares a first service time data about the first service stream with a second service time data about the second service stream. The first frame generator outputs a first frame including the first service stream outputted in the first buffer. The second frame generator outputs a second frame including the second service stream outputted in the second buffer. The time stamp generator generates a first transmission time data comprised in a time stamp field of the first frame and a second transmission time data comprised in a time stamp field of the second frame.
