Abstract:
Polymers, particularly those used in pressure-sensitive adhesives, are prepared from a mixture of structural isomers of a secondary alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer. The adhesives are characterized by exhibiting an overall balance of adhesive and cohesive characteristics and exceptional adhesion to low surface energy substrates.
Abstract:
Compositions are described that are blends of a grafted copolymer and a polyamide. Methods of making the blended compositions are also described. The grafted copolymers are the reaction product of (1) a first compound having both an aziridinyl group and a polymeric group with (2) a second polymeric material having an acidic group. Blending the grafted copolymer with the polyamide can be used, for example, to increase the cohesive strength of the grafted copolymer.
Abstract:
The compositions comprise an acid functional monomer or acid-functional copolymer (or conjugate base thereof), and an imidazole compound (or conjugate acid theref).
Abstract:
A pattern article comprising a copolymer having polymerized units derived from a cleavable crosslinking monomer, to which a pattern is imparted by the release of incipient acid from a thermal acid generator or photoacid generator. The selective release of the acid provides a pattern of high crosslink density and low crosslink density as result of the incipient acid cleaving a portion of the crosslinks.
