    Abstract: PURPOSE:To widen a load range and provide a stable combustion under respective loads, while simultaneously lowering the emission of environmental polluting substances, by providing a flame retaining function to each of plurality of gas nozzles forming a burner device. CONSTITUTION:A sub-nozzle port 32 is defined through a side wall portion upstream a main nozzle port 31, and a fuel injection ratio is adjusted through a separate passage for thereby forming a flame retaining type burner. A flame retaining air 41 is supplied and controlled independently from a secondary air 42 and a third air 43. Each of nozzles is provided with a flame igniting and retaining function, by providing a flame cap 100 at the upper end thereof, an ignition torch 70 in an annularly formed central portion thereof and a flame retaining ring having an annularly-shaped face between a flame disk 80 and a group of nozzles. Thus, a range of load control can be widened so as to permit a fuel burnt stably under respective loads. The flame can be retained independently and consequently the partial pressure of oxygen and the supplying quantity of air can be freely selected, whereby lowering the emission of environmental polluting substances.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable reduction of production of NOx and to enable shortening of the combustion time of a high fuel ratio fuel, by a method wherein fuel, such as oil, containing quantities of volatile contents is injected into or in the vicinity of the nozzle of an injection cylinder which injects a main fuel having a high fuel ratio. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection pipe 2, injecting fuel 1, containing quantities of volatile contents, such as gas, oil, etc., is located in an injection cylinder 7 which injects pulverized coal 4, being a main fuel. At the starting of a burner, gas 1 is injected in a furnace through the injection pipe 2 and a nozzle part 3 for combustion to increase temperature at the interior of a furnace, and thereafter, the pulverized coal 4 is injected through an injection cylinder 7 togetherwith a primary air for combustion. Since a gas fuel is continuously burnt in the vicinity of a mozle part 3, a fair amount of O3 in the primary air is consumed, a low O2 high temperature area is formed at a pulverized coal injection part, and an N content in the pulverized coal is converted into N2 to achieve reduction in production of NOx. At the moment when the pulverized coal is injected in a furnace the pulverized coal is divided into fine particles at a high temperature range formed by means of the gas fuel to increase a ratio surface area, and is burnt in a short time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To accurately detect the burning conditions, and, based on the detected conditions, to control individual burners by disposing devices for measurement of CO and O2 etc. at multiple points in exhaust gas flow passage section on the downstream side of a boiler furnace. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 31 disposed in a delivery port 9 of coal-economizer detects, for instance, both CO and O2 to monitor the operating conditions of respective burners 6a, 6b. When a location where, for example, the CO concentration is high is detected to be at an upper right hand side, it is understood that a right hand side burner on the front wall is experiencing an air deficiency, and so, the resistor of said burner is operated to be opened. When the O2 concentration at said location becomes higher thereafter, a right hand side NO port resistor on the front wall is operated to be opened. In this manner, the operating conditions of respective burners can always be detected accurately, individual burners can be made controllable, and the accuracy of the control of the entire boiler can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce continuously the generation of NOX including the starting and stopping time by a method wherein a fuel supply starting, a fuel supply stopping and an extinction followed by said two operations are operated under the action of an exhaust gas circulation system. CONSTITUTION:At the starting, the driving of an exhaust gas circulating fan 3 is started at the point A of time under the following condition, that is, a damper 4 and 5 are opened, also a damper 8 is closed, an air in a furnace 2 is circulated. At the point B of time, a small amount of fuel is supplied through a line 1, then injected. An O2 contained in the air circulating in the furnace 2 is consumed by the igniting the subsequent burning, also the O2 partial pressure is lowered with the passage of time. At the point C of time, the driving of a burning air intake fan 6 and the opening operation of the burning air damper 8 are performed, the excessive dropping of the O2 partial pressure is prevented. Thereby, the lowering of the O2 partial pressure in an exhaust gas affects nearly direct reducing of the NOX formation quantity, accordingly, the restraining of the NOX can be achieved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To constitute the titled method so as to enable to reduce both unburnt contents and NOx and to make it unnecessary to make a furnace into large size, by making an excess air ratio of a burner at the upper tier than that at the lower tier and if necessary making the draft of a burner at the upper tier larger than that at the lower tier also. CONSTITUTION:As for the burner of a front wall, the excess air ratio of the burner 2 at the lower tier is brought to the minimum, to begin with, and the more the tier goes upward in order of a medium tier burner 3 and an upper tier burner 4, the larger the excess air ratio becomes. The excess air ratios, for example, of the lower burner, the medium burner 3 and the upper burner 4 are about 0.89, 1.02 and 1.15 respectively and distribution of the excess air ratio of each tier of a rear wall is made similar to the above. As, moreover, the distribution of the excess air ratio is made as above, the more the tier goes upward, the larger the quantity of supply air becomes, a draft is raised and the penetrating force of a flame is increased. When, however, the penetrating force is insufficient with a draft set up based on the excess air ratio, inactive gas such as recirculating gas can be supplied to these wind boxes of the burners so that the draft is increased without varying the excess air ratio.

With this construction, a part of air in the outermost surroundings is replaced by exhaust gas corresponding to a reduction of a load of a boiler, combustion air is supplied to a secondary air system in the lump and gas in the outermost surroundings is replaced by the exhaust gas completely under the minimum load.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To restrict the generation of NOx and reduce non-combustioned component in the ash by a method wherein a guide plate for arranging air in an external air passage to outside of the passage is installed at the extremity end of an outer cylinder and a circulating means for forcedly circulating air flow stronger than the air flow in the inner air passage is arranged in the external air passage. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 16 for arranging air in an external air passage 13 outwardly is arranged at the extremity end of an outer cylinder 11 and at the same time a circulating means 17 for forcedly circulating the air flow stronger than the air flow in the inner air passage 12 is arranged in the external air passage 13. Thus, the external air in the external air passage 13 is baffled by a guide plate 16 to be injected outwardly, so that the air is injected into a furnace 1 while suctioning a part of the inner air in the inner air passage 12, resulting in that the root part of the fine coal supplying nozzle 3 shows a high O2 area, NOx is produced from component of N in the fuel to cause O2 to be consumed, thereafter the reducing material is produced at the downstream side of the passage, NOx and the reducing material are reacted with each other and reduced to N2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize the flame and also to maintain a high combustion temperature so as to control NOx at a low level by dividing a pulverized coal supply nozzle into inner and outer sides through which fine coal grains and coarse coal grains are separately supplied. CONSTITUTION:A throttle 5 is provided in an air chamber wall 4 of a pulverized coal supply nozzle 3, which has an inner nozzle 6 on the discharge mouth side to make up a dual nozzle configuration. Because of the dual nozzle configuration, the pulverized coal supplied into the dual nozzle is classified so that the coarse grains may be routed into the inner nozzle and the fine grains into an annular section 7. The coarse grains which have passed through the inner nozzle 6 are discharged directly into a furnace. On the other hand, the fine grains passing through the annular section 7 is caused to rotate spirally by spinning blades disposed in the tubular section 7. In this manner, fine grains are given priority in burning to stabilize the flame and also to maintain a high combustion temperature so as to control the NOx concentration in the exhaust gas at a low level.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a low NOX pulverized coal burner which can correspond to the change in the kind of coal, by a method wherein secondary air is divided into axially-flowing air and spirally-flowing air, a swirl nozzle is movable, and the swirl strength and the swirl radius of the secondary air are independently regulated into the optimum.
    CONSTITUTION: An axial flow nozzle 13 is an annular nozzle disposed concentrically with a fuel nozzle 11, and the axially-flowing air AA fed through the axial flow nozzle 13 is injected to form a rectilinear flow. Swirl flow nozzles 14 consists of 8 L-tubes, and the air CA fed through the swirl flow nozzles 14 is jetted to form a swirl flow. The swirl flow nozzle 14 is set so that an octagon, provided resulting from drawing of a semistraight line in the direction of a nozzle outlet by means of a nozzle moving device 15, forms an imaginary circle. As a result, if a ratio of the radius of the imaginary circle of the swirl flow nozzle 14 to the straight-advancing component of the secondary air is set to an optimum value, NOX produced during combustion of pulverized coal is brought to a minimum value irrespective of the kind of coal.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of a firing trouble occasioned by a produced volatile content, by a method wherein gas for preventing the occurrence of fire is fed to a crusher and a line, through which the crusher and a burner are inter- connected, during stoppage of operation of the crusher.
    CONSTITUTION: When a crusher is brought to a stop, exhaust gas G is cooled by an air preheater by means of the air A, and the cooled exhaust gas is introduced from an exhaust gas line 28 to an air feed main pipe 20, with a damper 35 of the air feed main pipe 20 closed and a damper 36 of a bypass line 33 opened, cooled exhaust gas is fed through the bypass line 33 to a crusher 1. The cooled exhaust gas fed to the crusher 1 cools the inside of a device to reduce production of a volatile content from residual coal and to fill the inside of the device therewith. This enables prevention of the occurrence of firing trouble occasioned by a volatile content produced during stoppage of operation of a coal crusher.
