    Abstract: Composition for seasoning of food and method for production of the same. The composition comprises a salt ingredient and a trace element ingredient, in which the trace element ingredient in itself comprises at least one compound of a trace element, which is chosen from among zinc, copper, manganese, chromium, selenium or molybdenum or a mixture of two or more of these compounds. The composition is formulated such that a portion of from approx. 5 to approx. 15 grammes of the composition contains at least one recommended daily dietary intake of at least one of these trace elements. The composition is produced by dissolving the trace element ingredient in a small quantity of water, mixing the solution with a part of the salt ingredient or with at least a part of a possible diluent or a mixture hereof, and then mixing with the salt ingredient or the remainder thereof.
