Abstract: Disclosed in some examples is a method for providing a HARQ response in an LTE network for a PUCCH format 1b. The method includes receiving one or more downlink assignments of a bundling window over a wireless downlink control channel; setting a reception status for each sub-frame of a downlink data channel in the bundling window based on whether the sub-frame on the downlink data channel was associated with a particular one of the received downlink assignments and based upon whether the sub-frame was successfully received; setting a reception status of sub-frames of the downlink data channel in the bundling window that did not have a corresponding downlink assignment to a predetermined value; and transmitting a response, the response based upon the reception statuses set by the response module.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for operating in a fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) network may monitor search space sets for a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates within a number of non-overlapped control-channel elements (CCEs) for a primary cell (PCell). The number of PDCCH candidates and the number of non-overlapped CCEs may include PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs on a scheduling secondary cell (SCell). The scheduling SCell may be an SCell that schedules a transmission on the PCell. The UE may decode one or more of the PDCCH candidates on the scheduling SCell for a downlink control information (DCI) format which may schedule a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and/or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission of the PCell.

Abstract: Devices and methods of enhancing narrowband communications are generally described. NPSS and NSSS are modulated to include an additional bit that indicates a duplexing scheme, a raster frequency offset (zero or non-zero), an operating mode (in-band or standalone/guard-band) or frame timing used by the eNB. The NPSS modulation uses conjugate ZC sequences multiplied by a cover code for each OFDM symbol. The NMIB may provide additional information related to the operating mode or offset. NSSS cyclic shifts may be used to indicate the offset or TDD/FDD use, as may relative locations of the NPSS and NSSS. The NSSS may use symbol-level modulation and time domain cyclic shifts to indicate the frame timing.

Abstract: Embodiments of a Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and User Equipment (UE) are generally described herein. The gNB may transmit control signaling to configure transmission of position reference signals (PRSs) by a plurality of transmit-receive points (TRPs). The gNB may receive, from the UE, for each of the TRPs, a set of signal location parameters (SLPs). The gNB may perform an iterative process to estimate a position of the UE. For a current iteration, the gNB may: determine a current estimate of the position of the UE based on a current plurality of sets of SLPs; and determine a cost function for each of the current plurality of sets of SLPs. The gNB may determine, based on the cost functions, a next plurality of sets of SLPs for a next estimate of the position of the UE.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate multi-transmission reception point (multi-TRP) operation for new radio (NR). One example apparatus may be employed at a user equipment (UE), and may comprise: an interface configured to enable the UE to communicate with two or more TRPs; and a processor that is configured to generate uplink control information (UCI) for each of the TRPs, schedule single or multiple uplink channels to carry the UCI, so that the UCI is transmitted individually or in combination to the TRPs via the interface, wherein the uplink channels comprise NR physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and/or NR physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). Techniques discussed herein also can facilitate demodulation reference signal design for short physical uplink control channel carrying more than 2-bit UCI for new radio.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) and methods for communication are generally described herein. The UE may select, from a plurality of short transmission time intervals (TTIs), a short TTI for a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) sidelink transmission by the UE. The short TTIs may occur within a legacy TTI. The short TTIs may be allocated for V2V sidelink transmissions by non-legacy UEs. The legacy TTI may be allocated for V2V sidelink transmissions by legacy UEs. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the legacy TTI, a legacy physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) to indicate, to legacy UEs, the V2V sidelink transmission by the UE. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the selected short TTI, a short PSCCH (sPSCCH) to indicate, to non-legacy UEs, the V2V sidelink transmission by the UE.

Abstract: Technology for dual connectivity is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can identify a first physical channel that includes a first uplink control information (UCI) and a second physical channel that includes a second UCI. The UE can select a priority level for the first physical channel and a priority level for the second physical channel. The UE can apply power scaling to a first physical channel transmission or a second physical channel transmission if a total transmit power of the UE would exceed a specific value during a period of time. The UE can scale a transmit power for the second physical channel if the priority level for the first physical channel is higher than the priority level for the second physical channel depending on a type of first UCI and a type of second UCI.
