Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an adhesive tape from adhering to other frames, etc., when the adhesive tape which is cut by a specified length is carried to an object to be packaged by forming an upper tape pinching member into a concave form, and a lower tape pinching member into a convex form. CONSTITUTION:As a device to pull out a tape to be adhered 4 by pinching and carry to an object to be packaged, the packaging device is equipped with an upper tape pinching member 10 and lower tape pinching member 12. The lower tape pinching member 12 is a freely rotatable roller the center of which is swollen, and the outer surface has a convex shape which curves in the almost orthogonal direction to the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape 4. The upper tape pinching member 10 is formed of a rubber material, and is attached a supporting plate 19 made of a metal, and the lower surface 10a has a concave shape which curves in the almost orthogonal direction to the longitudinal direction of the adhesive tape. Therefore, when the leading end of the adhesive tape 4 is pinched by the upper and lower pinching member 10, 12, the adhesive tape 4 is curved upward, and by this curve, a shape holding function is assigned to the adhesive tape 4 itself, and the adhesive tape 4 becomes hard to fluctuate in the vertical direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily draw out the end of a packing sheet and to make the end to be inserted easily between a cutter and a support table by a method wherein a support stand capable of being switched over between two position for supporting temporarily the packing sheet body for working and for housing the same is provided to position opposite to support parts that support the packing sheet body rotatively. CONSTITUTION:A drawer table 10, equipped with support parts 5 for supporting a packing sheet 1 body on the side of a packing table 2, a drawing mechanism that draws out the packing sheet 1, and a support table 12 that can be switched over between two position, one for work position for supporting temporarily the packing sheet 1 body and the other for position for housing the packing sheet body, are provided. The body of the packing sheet 1 is supported temporarily with the support table 12, and the end 1b of the packing sheet is drawn out while the body is rotated and is passed between the drawer table 10 and a cutter 7. As the support table 12 is placed in a position opposite to the cutter 7, the distance between the two members can be maintained sufficiently. Thereby, work for making the end of a new packing sheet go through can be made easily, improving efficiency in replacement of the packing sheet, and at the same time workability cannot be declined as the support table 12 can be hosed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the necessary numbers of photo-sensors by constituting a photo-sensor detecting the lowered position of a packed article of an illuminator projecting an ample detecting beam and a plurality of receivers of the beam, in the packed article which is fed from the upper side and enveloped in the constricted packing sheet. CONSTITUTION:A spherical article A like a cabbage to be packed is dropped into the opening 2a formed on a packing base 2. A packing sheet 1 is constricted at the outer edge of the opening 2a to envelop the article. This article A is supported from the lower side by a vertically movable support bed 3 with a lifting mechanism 9. In the lowering motion of this support bed 3, the light radiated from an illuminator 32a is detected by a plurality of light-receivers 32b parallelly arranged in the right and left lateral directions. When the light is detected by all light-receivers 32b, it is judged that the article A has passed through the position of the photo-sensor 32 or the position of a holding member 14 and the lifting mechanism 9 is stopped. Then a pair of holding members 14 are closed to each other so as to wring the upper part 1a of the packing sheet 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve workability in replacement of adhesive tape by providing a supporting bracket for rotatably supporting a roll-shaped adhesive tape, a holding part for the forward end of the adhesive tape, and a cutter on a single supporting member detachably mounted to a device fixing part. CONSTITUTION:When a supporting member 5 for an adhesive tape 4 is mounted on a frame 8 of a packing device, a supporting frame 25 on the side of a holding arm 33 reaches an end on the side of the tape 4 so that the end of the tape 4 is held between a holding member 32 of the frame 25 and a holding roller 33a. Under such conditions, a locking part 9a of an operation lever 9 engages the end of the member 5 so that a press plate 8 fixed to the frame 8 fixes the end of the member 5. When the tape 4 is replaced, if the lever 9 is turned upward, the part 9b of the lever 9 moves apart from the member 5 and the lever 9 makes contact with the end of the arm 33 and turns clockwise so that the tape 4 is applied to a holding part 37 and the member 32 is separated from the roller 33a, so that the member 5 can be drawn out.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust the strength of packing conditions of an item to be packed by providing light sensors in a vertical direction so as to detect the presence of the item to be packed on the upper surface of a holding member so that the stop position of a supporting table can be changed vertically in response to the detection signals of the light sensor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of light sensors 25, 26 are disposed near the upper surface of first holding members 14, 15 in such a manner that detecting beams of light of sensors 25, 26 intersect each other near the center of a supporting table 3. When the table 3 starts to go down and intercepts the detecting light of the sensors 25, 26 and then the light of one of the sensors 25, 26 reaches a light receiver, a timer starts counting. If set time is set at a little larger value by means of an adjusting device, the table 3 comes to a halt at a position spaced slightly downward from the first, second holding members 14, 15, 12 and thereafter the members 14, 15, 12 hold a transparent wrapping sheet 1 in such a manner that the sheet 1 is wrapped loosely around an item to be packed A. If the set time is adjusted to a smaller value, the sheet l is wrapped tightly around the item A.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in executing the entire work of packaging by a method wherein the upper part of a packaging sheet wrapping around an article and gathered up is cut off and the cut-off part is blown off by jetting air for an apparatus with which the article to be packaged is thrown into an opening provided on a packaging table and is wrapped up in the packaging sheet that is gathered up. CONSTITUTION:A packaging sheet 1 wound up in a roll is drawn out and is extended over a packaging table equipped with an opening to which a spherical article to be packaged is thrown in, and the article to be packaged thrown in is wrapped up with the packaging sheet 1 that is gathered up with a circumferential brim of the opening. A pair of flat plate-like clamping members 14 and 15 provided on both sides of a support stand 3 for suppoting the packaged article are moved in the direction of approaching each other, and thereby the upper part 1a of the packaging sheet 1 is squeezed, and the squeezed part is cut with a rotary cutter 28 that is capable of moving laterally. The part of the packaging sheet separated and stuck to the rotary cutter 28 after the cutting is blown off by air from a jetting nozzle 27 provided to a frame 16 supporting the rotary cutter 28.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure complete packaging without making a part, especially a gathered-up part, of a packaging sheet in a packaging apparatus with which a spherical farm product such as a lettuce or a cabbage is automatically packaged. CONSTITUTION:As an article to be packaged is thrown into an opening 2a on a packaging table 2 on which a packaging sheet 1 is placed, the article to be packaged is wrapped with the packaging sheet 1 that is gathered up with a circumferential brim of the opening 2a, and the packaged article is supported with a support stand 3 provided beneath. Then the upper part of the gathered-up packaging sheet 1 around the packaged article on the support stand 3 is squeezed from the lateral side and a part upper than the squeezed part of the packaging sheet is cut with a cutting means 26. Then a support frame 25 equipped with a holding arm and a pressing arm for adhesive tape 4 is moved in reciprocation over a squeezing mechanism 12, and the adhesive tape 4 is stuck therewith over the upper end of the gathrered-up part after the cutting for sealing the packaging sheet. In sticking the adhesive tape, the drawn-out adhesive tape 4 is cut in a specified length with a cutter that is pushed by advancement of the support frame 25.

The drawn-out packaging sheet 1 is cut at a specified position with a cutter 70. In cutting the packaging sheet, the movement of the drawing mechanism 58 is controlled in view of its position detected by a position sensor 88 and by a signal for setting the breadth for the packaging sheet 1 from a breadth setting means so that the packaging sheet 1 comes to a specified position over the opening 2a on the packaging table 2 when the drawing mechanism 58 stops. Furthermore, an abnormality can be judged by output from the position sensor 88 while existence of the drawing mechanism 58 is detected by an optical sensor 87.

CONSTITUTION:The title packaging device is equipped with a pull-out mechanism 5 which pulls out a packaging sheet 1 on a packaging table by a specified length while the end of the packaging sheet 1, which is wound into a roll shape, is being pinched, and the rolled part of the packaging sheet 1 is being rotated. At the same time, the title packaging device is also equipped with a damper mechanism which stops the rotation of the rolled part of the packaging sheet 1 when the pull-out mechanism 58 stops at the pull-out location. By this method, the packaging sheet 1 is suppressed from generating waveness and wrinkles due to an excessive let-out, and the packaging sheet 1 is cut at a specified length by a cutter.
