    Abstract: PURPOSE:To place a winding for recording/reproduction close to a vertical magnetization film by making a slot around a magnetic thin film on the surface of a base verticaly to the magnetic thin film except for the tip of the magnetic thin film and forming a spiral conductor thin film winding in the slot. CONSTITUTION:Silicon dioxide or the like is adhered as a protection film 3-2 on the surface of a base 3-1 by the sputtering method or the like and a magnetic thin film 3-3 made of permalloy, amorphous magnetic substance or the like for constituting a magnetic pole is formed on the film 3-2 in a required thickness and width. Further, silicon dioxide or the like is adhered as a protection film 3-5 by the sputtering method or the like and the other base 3-6 is bonded. Then, after a surface facing a recording medium is polished, the face is engraved by several microns by the sputter etching of the like. Further, the thin film winding 3-7 is formed so as to connect the start and the end points of an electrode lead 3-4 and the thin film winding 3-7 together.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To record and reproduce to and from a recording medium whose disk diameter is small with high track density, by forming an erasing gap of an erasing head core by a high magnetic permeability thin film and a high magnetic permeability bulk material. CONSTITUTION:An I-bar of an erasing core is constituted of a high magnetic permeability thin film instead of a bulk material, and a high magnetic permeability thin film 15 is formed to about 1mum-50mum film thickness by means of spattering, vapor-deposition, etc. on a non-magnetic supporting body 13. According to such a constitution, it can be considered that the I-bar of the erasing core does not exist, therefore, even if a distance between a recording and reproducing gap and an erasing gap becomes small, there is room for placing a head core, and a saturation magnetization of the high magnetic permeability thin film 15 is remarkably larger than a saturation magnetization of ferrite, therefore, a recording medium of a high coercive force can also be erased exactly, the erasing capacity is also high, and also it can cope enough with converting a disk to a small diameter.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which handles a medium with high coercive force and is suitable for high-density recording by forming an amorphous soft magnetic film on the gap surface of a ferrite core. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous soft magnetic film 4 is formed on the gap surface 2 of the core 1 by sputtering and annealed in a DC or rotating magnetic field. A Co-Fe-B, Fe-B, Co-Ta, Co-Zr, or Co-Zr-Nb film, etc., is used as the amorphous soft magnetic thin film. The thickness of the amorphous film is about 0.5-10mum, and the magnetic permeability is superior even at >=10MHz and at least >=3,000. Further, saturated magnetism depends upon composition and can be made large ranging from 9-16kg.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a large magnetic field which is vertical to the surface of a vertical recording medium by providing a closed path structure to a thin film magnetic head which is used to a magnetic recorder using a vertically magnetized film as a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The 1st layer winding 4-2 is first formed on a substrate 4-1 with a conductor thin film which forms a winding. Then an insulated film 4-3, a magnetic thin film 4-4 of ''Permalloy'', an amorphous magnetic material etc. having high permeability, and an insulated film 4-5 are formed on the winding 4-2. A hole is drilled through the films 4-3 and 4-5 at a place except the film 4-4 in order to secure connection between the 2nd layer winding 4-6 made of a conductor thin film and the film 4-2. Then the winding is applied to the film 4-4. A magnetic thin films 4-8 is connected to the film 4-4 via the rear part 4-7 of a magnetic head. While the film 4-4 is separated from the film 4-8 at a gap part 4-9 by a space suited to the desired recording density. This space decides the resolution of reproduction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head for vertical magnetic recording which has high practical performance, by carrying out the recording with a magnetic pole core consisting of a single or plural thin films of high permeability and then reproducing with a part of said magnetic pole core. CONSTITUTION:Thin films 12, 13 and 14 of high permeability are patterned on a nonmagnetic substrate, and a thin film coil 15 is wound around the tip area of the film 12. A coil 16 is wound totally around the films 12-14 at the rear part. The recording is carried out by exciting simultaneously film 12-14 entirely by the coil 16. The recording width of these films are set at T12+T13+T14 if each recording truck width is set at T12, T13 and T14 respectively. In this case, the gaps between films 12 and 13 as well as 12 and 14 are set at the value equivalent to the spread of the recording width to obtain an even width as a whole. While the reproduction is performed by detecting the change of a magnetic flux passing through the film 12 by the coil 15. The reproducing track width is set at T12. A sufficient gap is secured between the film 12 and the coil 15 as well as films 13 and 14 at the position distant away from the head tip part in order to avoid the interference between films 13 and 14. The interchangeability of data is assured despite an off-track generated between films 13 and 14.
