Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the noise in a video signal without using a memory of a large capacity and without losing the precision by detecting a field difference or frame difference as to a signal of a prescribed amplitude or below including noise. CONSTITUTION:An input signal S1 including noise is fed to an adder 3 and a limiter 11. A signal of a prescribed amplitude or below is outputted from the limiter 11 and fed to an adder 2 and fed to the adder 2 while being retarded by one field via an A/D converter 4, a field memory 5 and a D/A converter 6. A difference signal being the result of addition is formed into a signal whose noise of a prescribed amplitude or below is eliminated, multiplied by a multiple of K at a multiplier 8, and the result is fed to an adder 3 via an HPF 10. As a result, an output signal with noise reduced is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:An input signal S1 including noise is fed to an adder 3 via an LPF 12 and fed to an HPF 10. The output of the HPF 10 is fed to an adder 2 and an A/D converter 4 as a signal including noise via a limiter 11, the converted output becomes a signal retarded by one field via a field memory 5 and a D/A converter 6 and the result is fed to the adder 2. When the addition output is not zero, noise component is obtained, the difference signal is multiplied by a multiple of K at a multiplier 8 and fed to the adder 3. As a result, the output signal whose noise is reduced is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce noises without using any large-capacity memory and without spoiling the fineness so as to make a movement detecting circuit omittable, by detecting field or frame differences from ones, whose amplitudes are smaller than a prescribed one, of the signals of high-frequency components. CONSTITUTION:Means 2 and 4 which separate video signals into 1st signals having low-frequency components and 2nd signals having high-frequency components, means 5 and 8 which separate the 2nd signals into 3rd signals having amplitudes larger than a prescribed level and 4th signals having amplitudes smaller than the prescribed level, means 11-13 which detect 1-field or 1-frame signals on the 4th signals and obtain 5th signals, and means 3 and 7 which combine the 1st, 3rd, and 5th signals, are provided. As a result, high-frequency signal components can be compensated and deterioration of the fineness of pictures can be eliminated. Moreover, no large-capacity memory is required as a field or frame memory and a movement detecting circuit can be omitted.
