Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a video camera system capable of obtaining high vertical resolution and reducing influence due to generation of an unnecessary frequency component. CONSTITUTION:Plural CCD image pickup elements 2, 3 for reading out mutual picture elements between two lines in the scanning direction are prepared. Image pickup signals outputted from the elements 2, 3 are synthesized to form a picture with high resolution. In this case, a component due to an output level difference between the two solid state image pickup elements 2, 3 is inclined and becomes visually inconspicous, and even at the time of removing the component through a filter, deterioration of picture quality is not almost generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent lateral stripes or flicker from being generated by providing a gain correction circuit to compare the levels of pilot signals and to correct the gain of a circuit system so as to eliminate level difference when there is the level difference. CONSTITUTION:The levels of pilot signals passing through two circuit systems are compared, and the gains of the circuit systems are controlled so as to eliminate the level difference. Namely, a pilot signal generation part 8 transfers signals to be pilot signals to horizontal registers 3a and 3b. When the level of the pilot signal transferred from the horizontal register 3a and sampled from the output signal of a first amplifier 13a is lowered than the level of the pilot signal transferred from the horizontal register 3b and sampled from the output signal of a second amplifier 13b, the gain of the first amplifier 13a, for example, is increased. Thus, the gain difference between two circuit systems can be eliminated and further, the generation of lateral stripes or flicker caused by the gain difference can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reproduce a usual moving picture and a video image with high picture quality selectively by recording a low scanning number video signal and a high scanning number video signal to be supplied on one and same magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A high resolution image pickup signal S1 obtained from a video camera 10 and a jumping scanning signal S2 converted by a signal conversion section 16 are fed to a recording and reproducing signal processing section 20, a moving picture obtained by picking up an object continuously by using the jumping scanning signal S2 and a video image converted into a PCM data of a high resolution image pickup signal S1 are recorded side by side on one track on one and same magnetic tape TP. Then a reproduction video signal processing section 60 in a recording reproducing signal processing section 20 reproduces a reproduced video signal S10 corresponding to a moving picture of the scanning signal S2 for a desired time. Simultaneously, the high picture quality reproduction signal processing section 62 outputs a high picture quality reproduction signal S12 corresponding to the high resolution image pickup signal S1.

CONSTITUTION:A high-picture quality signal Sa outputted from a video camera 10 for high-picture quality medium is inputted to a high-picture quality information area signal reduction processing part 14 through an input terminal Ti of a signal processing part 12 to obtain an area reduction signal Sb. The high- picture quality signal Sa is inputted to a 1H delay circuit 20 and is delayed by one horizontal period of the high-picture quality information area signal included in the high-picture quality signal Sa to output the delay signal Sb. This delay signal Sb is synthesized with the next horizontal signal in the high- picture quality signal Sa by an adder 22. Thus, the high-picture quality signal having a high frequency in scanning and the video signal related to a low frequency in scanning are simultaneously obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate fluctuation of a DC potential by eliminating the effect of a VBE of an emitter follower fluctuated depending on temperature so as to apply temperature compensation of an output voltage. CONSTITUTION:A collector of an npn transistor(TR) 24 is connected to an emitter of a TR 21 of emitter follower connection via a resistor 23, the emitter of the TR 24 is connected to ground via a resistor 25 and a constant voltage source 26 is connected to a base of the TR 24. A terminal 4 is connected to the collector of the TR 24 and the output signal at the terminal 4 is led to a terminal 5 via a pnp TR 27 and an npn TR 28 of emitter follower connection respectively. Thus, the effect of the base-emitter voltage (VBE) of the emitter follower fluctuated due to temperature is eliminated and the temperature compensation of the output voltage is applied. Thus, the DC potential fluctuation is decreased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to provide a connection terminal for a capacitor, and to make a circuit into constitution suitable to be integrated by using a coupling capacitor for inputting a signal as a DC voltage holding capacitor for clamping. CONSTITUTION:A video signal is supplied to an input terminal T1 through a capacitor C. The input video signal is given from an amplifier 1 to a comparator 2, and compared with a clamping reference voltage. The error output of it is converted into a current by a voltage-current circuit 3, and compared again with a reference current by the comparator 4. An error current is given to the terminal T1 through a feedback line 5. A switch 6, which is closed by a clamp pulse corresponding to a pedestal section, is inserted in the feedback line 5. The video signal, of which the pedestal potential coincides with a clamp voltage, is led out from the amplifier 1 as a clamp output.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely keep the level balance of a complementary color signal while keeping a luminance reproducibility well and effectively suppress the noise mixed in a luminance signal by providing a sensitivity correcting circuit, a white balance circuit, an adding circuit, etc. CONSTITUTION:The output of a TV camera 2 is inputted to a sensitivity correcting circuit 6 through an image pickup signal output circuit 4 and a color component separating circuit 6, and the amplitude of the complementary color signal is adjusted through a gain adjusting circuit 7 and a color temperature correcting circuit 8. The output of the circuit 6 passes a switch adding circuit 11 to go to a level-balanced complementary color signal, and the first luminance signal is outputted. The output of the circuit 5 is inputted to a white balance circuit 16 through a primary color signal converting circuit 15, and a white-balanced primary color signal is outputted, and the second luminance signal is generated by a synthesizing circuit 19. The first and second luminance signals pass an HPF 12 and an LPF 20 and are added by an adding circuit 25, and the output is inputted to a video signal output circuit 31 of the synthesized luminance signal and is processed together with the output of a color difference signal converting circuit 32, thereby forming the luminance signal of high picture quality.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a good color video signal even if a solid-state image pickup element has a slight defect, by providing N-kind of sample holding circuits which sample hold N-kind of chrominance signals and correcting the signal of the defect position of the solid-state image pickup element by the chrominance signal due to the same color filter as the defect position. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge detection signal V0 where a reference level ER and a red signal R and a green signal G which correspond to the output electric charge are repeated at every bit is outputted to the output terminal of an image pickup device 1 consisting of the solid-state image pickup element using a CCD. The signal V0 is inputted to a clamping circuit 9, and the signal V0 corresponding to signals R and G is supplied to S/H circuits 10R and 10G. The defect position from a ROM 17 where the defect position of the image pickup device 1 is preliminarily stored is inputted to a changeover switch 18, and a switch circuit 18R or 18G is turned off according as the defect position exists in a red filter or a green filter, and the signal which does not include the defect is inputted to S/H circuits 14 and 15, and a video signal synthesized through a synthesizing circuit 16 is outputted to a terminal 16a.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the noise properties with simple constitution by using N pieces of sampling/holding circuits and N pieces of NOT circuits and supplying the output signals of these NOT circuits to a color video signal synthesizing circuit via an automatic gain control circuit. CONSTITUTION:The electric charge detecting signal V0 which repeats a reference level ER part and a signal part where color signals R and G having levels corresponding to the output electric charge are repeated for each bit of a solid state image pickup element 1 is supplied to sampling/holding circuits 17 and 18 respectively. These color signals R and G are sampled and held. The output signals 17R and 18G of circuits 17 and 18 are supplied to NOT circuits 19 and 20. Thus the noise components caused by the sampling pulses of both signals 17R and 18G are deleted. Then the output signals 19R and 20G of circuits 19 and 20 are supplied to a color video signal synthesizing circuit 16 via automatic gain control circuits 21 and 22. Thus the return noises caused by circuits 21 and 22 are eliminated and therefore the noise properties are improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the S/N while keeping the gain or the like as it is by connecting n-set of series diode pairs to a base of a couple of transistors (TRs) constituting a differential amplifier and connecting (n-1)-set of series diode pairs to the emitter. CONSTITUTION:A couple of TRs 21, 22 constituting the differential amplifier are provided and after the emitters are connected in common, the emitters are grounded via a constant current source 27 flowing a constant current 2I0. Further, n-set of diode pairs 81-28n and 291-29n are connected in series between each collector of the TRs 21, 22 and a positive power terminal +VCC. Each collector of the Trs 21, 22 is connected respectively to each base of a couple of Trs 30, 31 constituting a differential amplifier. Each emitter of the Trs 30, 31 is connected in common via (n-1)-set of diodes 321-32n-1 and 331-33n-1 in pairs and grounded via a constant current source 34 flowing a constant current 2I1. Then an output terminal 36 is used from the collector of the TR 31. Thus, the S/N decided by the transistor characteristic in use is improved by n -time.
