SOLUTION: A reproducing apparatus 70 extracts text data from sub-code data of a disk 90. The sub-code data is sequentially stored in a cache memory 20 as a row data which is not deinterleaved and the detecting process to identify the position of the desired text data from the stored sub-code data is performed. Assuming that the necessary data cannot be obtained only with single read operation, the start header is detected with the detection process from the sub-code data of two text groups stored in the cache memory 20 and the row text data is extracted on the basis of the detected start header.
