Abstract:
Methods and apparatus of and for mounting slide rails (2), stood off from surfaces are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of mounting a first stand-off (1) to a surface by use of a fastener (5) and a taper-lock assembly (17, 18) by attachment into the surface and expansion of the taper-lock against the interior of the first stand-off (1), locating an end of a rail (2) into the first stand-off (1), locating the other end of the rail (2) into a second stand-off (1a), and then mounting the second stand-off (1a) to the surface by use of a fastener (5) that, within said second stand-off (1a), passes through the rail (2) and into said surface. Apparatus comprises the finished slide rail assembly, the components thereof (in combination, assembly, disassembly or otherwise). The components being a rail (2) , standoffs (1, 1a) to receive the rail (2), a taper-lock assembly (17, 18), comprising a taper (17) and lock ring (18), fasteners for attachment (5, 5a), seals (8, 8a) to go between the standoffs and wall, caps (13) for the standoffs and a plug (14) that may be installed into a redundant mounted plumbing fitting, behind, in or on the wall, into which a fastener can be penetratively fastened to hold at least part of the slide assembly to the wall.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and to a mounting system for fixing a fastening element on a wall, especially in tiled rooms. The aim of the invention is to provide a method and a mounting system with which fastening elements can be easily fitted at low costs using simple means. To this end, the fastening element is fixed directly on the wall and the fittings are mechanically fastened in a conventional manner.
Abstract:
A portable hand grab including: one or more suction cups for attaching the portable hand grab to one or more respective attachment surfaces; at least one handle connected to the suction cups for gripping by hand; at least one electrical vacuum pump for at least partially evacuating at least one suction volume between the suction cups and the respective attachment surfaces; at least one vacuum sensor for detecting a vacuum level in the suction volume; and at least one electronic controller configured to control the electrical vacuum pump to at least partially evacuate the suction volume when the vacuum sensor detects the vacuum level being less than a preselected minimum vacuum level.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to an improved mounting assembly. In general, the mounting device includes a cover plate, a frame (at least a portion of which is adjacent to the cover plate), and an accessory that is attachable to the cover plate. The frame includes generally horizontal top and bottom portions or members that cooperatively limit or prohibit lateral motion of the cover plate relative to the frame when the cover plate is attached to the frame and is attached to a wall or vertical surface. The presence of the generally horizontal bottom and top portions or members facilitate faster and easier application and removal of the mounting assembly to a wall or other vertical surface by permitting the mounting assembly to be removed from the backplate on the wall in a single step.
Abstract:
The invention provides a mounting system for a wall mounted acces-sory which includes a first component (12), which is attachable to a wall (13), having a spigot (30), and a second component (14), to which the accessory (16) is attached, which has a tubular element (20) and a clamping means (22) which projects into an interior of the tubular element, which has, at one end, a clamp head (46) and which is actuatable, when the tubular element is passed over the spigot (30) and the spigot (30) is located between the clamp head (46) of the clamping means and an inner wall (72) of the tubular member, to draw the clamp head (46) into abutment with the spigot to clamp the spigot between the clamp head and the inner wall.
Abstract:
According to an exemplary embodiment, a dispenser for rolled paper product includes a first arm and a second arm, with the first arm having an elongate member configured to receive a roll of paper product. A first mounting bracket is configured to rotatingly couple the first arm to a mounting surface. The first arm is configured to cover the first mounting bracket from view. A second mounting bracket is configured to rigidly couple the second arm to the mounting surface.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a mounting for a shower curtain rod (30), the mounting comprising: a first part (10) comprising a bracket (11 ) for mounting to a wall and a bearing section (12), which is rotatably mounted with respect to the bracket about a first axis (II-ll) which is substantially horizontal in use, a second part (20), for engaging the shower curtain rod (30), mounted so that it can rotate with respect to the first part (10) about a second axis(l-l) which is at an angle to the first axis and substantially vertical in use. Also, the shower curtain rod (30) comprises a socket for receiving a projection of the other of the second part (20), the projection having at least two friction surfaces (24) for engaging the inner wall of the socket, a wedge or cam (40) being provided for urging the friction surfaces into contact with the inside of the socket.
Abstract:
Wall mountable accessory assemblies suitable to be mounted in a bathroom are disclosed. As an example, there is a grab bar assembly that has at least one mounting bracket, a grab bar, and a set screw. The bracket includes a rearward portion mountable to the wall and a frontal portion having a first recess which is forwardly open. The bracket also has a side catch groove structure. A projection on the grab bar is laterally slid into the catch groove structure and interfit therewith. The screw is inserted in the first recess so as to thereby drive a portion of the grab bar forward, inhibiting relative movement between the grab bar and the bracket.
