Abstract:
A bilateral upper limb exercise device (10) for exercising a user's arms comprising a central mounting structure (12) that is mountable to a fixed surface or structure (15), left and right limb supports (14a,14b) for supporting the forearm and/or hand of a respective arm of the user, and a pair of articulated linkage arms (22a,22b) that are pivotably coupled to opposite sides of the central mounting structure (12) and which are arranged to support a respective limb support (14a,14b) for movement in at least two degrees of freedom in a two-dimensional (2D) movement plane. A mirroring mechanism is also operatively coupled to the articulated linkage arms (22a,22b) such that movement of the opposing limb support relative to a central line of symmetry of the device.
Abstract:
Stationary RRE apparatus (10, 11, 240) comprises a supporting tripod structure (14), a pulley supported leg, an arm supporting rope lines (26, 28) coupled to leg, arm drive belts (32, 34) that are, in turn, coupled to leg, and arm drive sprockets (40, 42). The drive sprockets are operatively coupled to either an energy dissipative hydraulic assembly (100, 170) or an energy dissipative electric assembly (242) utilized for providing selected dissipative loading for motions thereof.
Abstract:
Proposed is a therapy and training device with restricted guidance of the knee joint movement, comprising an element which receives the lower thigh and a guide device, these two units being connected via an articulating element so as to be capable of pivoting. The guide device (12) co-operates with the lower thigh unit (11, 25) in such a way that a pivoting movement by one lower thigh (14) causes the other lower thigh (15) to move in the same way as a result of the knee bending.
Abstract:
The present invention is a body-shape correction apparatus comprising: a left foot-associated rotation unit on which the left foot of a user is loaded and supported, and which rotates in the counter-clockwise direction and returns in the clockwise direction; a right foot-associated rotation unit on which the right foot of the user is loaded and supported, and which rotates in the clockwise direction and returns in the counter-clockwise direction; and a pair of spring units and a pair of deformation distribution units arranged to correspond to the pair of left and right foot-associated rotation units. Furthermore, the present invention provides a body-shape correction apparatus, comprising: a left hand-associated rotation unit which rotates in the counter-clockwise direction according to the external rotation of the left hand of the user, and which returns in the clockwise direction; a right hand-associated rotation unit which rotates in the clockwise direction according to the external rotation of the right hand of the user, and which returns in a counter-clockwise direction; a left elastic unit for applying a clockwise restoring force that is resistant to the counter-clockwise displacement of the left hand-associated rotation unit; and a right elastic unit for applying a counter-clockwise restoring force that is resistant to the clockwise displacement of the right hand-associated rotation unit.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an exercise system/device for exercising a user's upper limb. The exercise system/device is intended for use in rehabilitating patients suffering hemiparesis that causes one upper limb to be at least partially paralysed. For example, the exercise system/device can be used for neuroplastic retraining rehabilitation techniques for enabling patients to regain control of their paralysed upper extremities, including shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers, but primarily their shoulders and elbows via larger arm movements. This is achieved through the use of an elongate handle and a motion sensing device associated with the handle for communicating the user's movements of the A handle to a gaming system. Although the exercise system/device is primarily for rehabilitation of patients suffering hemiparesis, it will be appreciated that it may also be used by any person for bilateral training and exercising upper limbs.
Abstract:
A stretching and exercise device has a first strap member having a pair of end portions, a second strap member having a pair of end portions, and a pair of resistance members connected between respective end portions of the first and second strap members. A third strap member has a pair of end portions attached to respective first and second surface portions of the second strap member. A fourth strap member is attached to a third surface portion of the second strap member different from the first and second surface portions thereof.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a therapy and training device (10) for a specific, guided movement of the knee joint, comprising two calf supports (35, 36) positioned on a guide assembly (11). Said calf supports (35, 36) are connected to a transmission element (28) of the guide assembly by means of joining devices (23, 24). The transmission element (28) connects the calf supports (35, 36) in such a way that they move in relation to one another. Thus, a swinging movement of one calf as a result of the user bending his/her knee causes a swinging movement of the other calf in the opposite direction. A lever (34) is provided to connect the calf supports (35, 36) to the joining devices (23, 24), said lever triggering a righting movement (Gxh) around the center of rotation (45) of the joint of the joining device (23, 24) concerned. Said righting movement counteracts the leg being stretched from the point of view of the direction of rotation.
