Abstract:
A filter assembly for use in filtering stormwater includes a bottom including a boss that includes a rib extending laterally along an inner surface of the boss. The rib includes a locking portion that mates with a corresponding locking portion on a peripheral surface of a connection to an outlet conduit for securing the bottom to the connection thereby inhibiting rotation of the bottom relative to the outlet conduit. A center tube is secured to the bottom using a locking mechanism that inhibits relative movement between the bottom and the center tube. The center tube is in communication with an opening in the bottom and a hood is secured to the center tube. A filter medium is located between the hood and the center tube.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pool filter comprising a housing, which can be supported on a ground side on the base, a longitudinal axis and a transversal axis, and a water inlet, a channel outlet and a pool outlet which are embodied in the housing wall thereof. A flow path from the water inlet to the pool outlet is embodied in the housing on the filter in the filter system and a filter device is arranged in the flow path. The invention is characterised in that a pre-filtering unit is arranged in the flow path in front of the filter device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an assembly with a filter housing and at least one filter cartridge. The at least one filter cartridge is tubular, has a tube wall provided with a filter and comprises a central discharge channel with a discharge connection for discharge of filtered medium. The tube wall has a filter through which the medium to be filtered is able to flow transversely to the tube wall. The filter housing has a filter chamber, surrounded by a side wall, in which the at least one filter cartridge is accommodated with the longitudinal direction parallel to the side wall. The invention furthermore is directed to a filter cartridge intended for such an assembly.

Abstract:
A holding device for a filter element is disclosed. More particularly, the holding device includes a body having upper and lower surfaces. The lower surface is sized and shaped so as to engage an end of an associated filter element. The holding device also includes a compressible member, which is positioned on the upper surface of the body, and a connecting mechanism for directly and movably connecting the body to a body of at least one other identical holding device.
Abstract:
A liquid filter having a quick-disconnect filter element mount includes a filter vessel having an inlet nozzle and an outlet nozzle. The vessel has a tube sheet which spans across at least a part of the vessel and defines an influent chamber in communication with the inlet nozzle and a filtrate chamber in communication with the outlet nozzle. A plurality of support core elements are connected to the tube sheet at a fixed end. A free end of the core elements extends into the influent chamber and includes a retaining barrel mounted to the free end. Filter elements, such as cartridge type elements which have a central opening therein are positioned on the core elements, against the tube sheet. The quick disconnect mount includes a post having a retaining body adapted to be releasably connected to the retaining barrel in the support core, to retain the filter element in place on the support core, in engagement with the tube sheet. The quick-disconnect mount includes a spring element and at least one tensioning element to provide a predetermined, settable pre-load compression on the filter element when the mount is positioned with the filter element in place on the support core. The quick-disconnect can be configured for use with up-flow and down-flow type filter vessels and is configured to readily permit removal and replacement of the filter elements.
Abstract:
A filter apparatus comprises a plurality of rod-shaped filter elements disposed within a cylindrical vessel on at least one circular array concentric with the vessel axis, and extending parallel to the vessel axis, said filter elements being mounted in one of the vessel end walls and drained through this vessel end wall. Rotatably mounted in the opposite vessel end wall is a rotor comprising a plurality of agitator elements extending radially spaced from and parallel to the filter elements. The filter elements are provided with individual filtrate drains adapted to be individualy monitored to ascertain the quality of the filtrate. Each filtrate drain may be provided with a valve operable to deactivate the associated filter element in the case of damage thereto.
Abstract:
A method of cleaning polymer residue from a polymer melt filter formed of a sintered powdered metal includes pyrolyzing the polymer residue-contaminated filter within a heated chamber at a temperature within the range from about 400.degree. to about 600.degree. C. and for a time sufficient to pyrolyze substantially all of the polymer residue. Simultaneously with such treatment, the heated chamber is flushed with steam to prevent combustion of the polymer residue. The pyrolyzed filter is then treated with a solvent and back-flushed with a pressurized fluid stream by passing the fluid steam through the filter in a direction opposite to the polymer melt flow therethrough.
Abstract:
An improved triangular filter cartridge and apparatus is provided comprising a generally cylindrical vessel having a plurality of generally triangularly shaped filter cartridges disposed therein. Each triangular filter cartridge has one of its substantially flat sides slightly spaced apart from and in direct facing relationship with the inner surface of the vessel, whereby a greater number of triangular filter cartridges can be compactly disposed within said vessel to increase the filtration capacity thereof.
Abstract:
A screening apparatus for solids in a power plant condenser water line has a head orbiting the filter element which spans the outlet end of the pipe section forming the housing for the unit and flanged in this pipeline. A motor is mounted on the pipe section and is connected by a right-angle drive to cause orbiting of the head and the suction pipe is connected by an elbow to the axial hollow shaft of the head.
