PURPOSE: A ceramic porous body, a preparation method of a glass used as a binder of the ceramic porous body and a preparation method of a ceramic filter are provided, to obtain a ceramic porous body using a glass binder with excellent acid resistance and alkali resistance which can be used as a filtration filter for a long time. CONSTITUTION: The ceramic porous body is formed by binding a ceramic particle with a glass comprising 5-20 mol% of a plural kind of metal oxides selected from the group consisting of Li2O, Na2O, K2O, MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO and containing at least two kinds of alkali metal oxides among Li2O, Na2O and K2O; 3 mol% or more of either or both of ZrO2 and TiO2; and the balance of SiO2 and inevitable impurities. The glass is prepared by mixing a glass frit containing 10-20 mol% of a plural kind of metal oxides containing at least alkali metal oxide with a silica sol, and sintering the mixture.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Staubsaugerfilterbeutel aus Abfallprodukten der Textilindustrie. Zudem werden Verwendungsmöglichkeiten von Abfallprodukten der Textilindustrie für Staubsaugerfilterbeutel angegeben. Der Staubsaugerfilterbeutel, umfassend einen Innenraum umschließende Wandung aus einem luftdurchlässigen Material sowie eine in die Wandung eingebrachte Einlassöffnung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das luftdurchlässige Material mindestens eine Lage eines Vliesstoffes umfasst, der faserund/oder staubförmiges recycliertes textiles Material und/oder Baumwolllinters umfasst, wobei das spezifische Volumen der Lage des Vliesstoffes mindestens 20 cm 3 /g beträgt.

Process for removing hydrocarbons from a body of water wherein the hydrocarbons are separated from the aqueous phase by selective permeation through a sintered porous filter surface-treated with at least one hydrophobic product, so as to collect the hydrocarbons and remove them from the water without using additional chemical products or products capable of absorbing the hydrocarbons. This allows the body of water to be remediated and at the same time recover the hydrocarbons spilled in a clean and substantially continuous manner. The filter preferably consists of a sintered inorganic material, such as for example a metallic material, a vitreous material, a ceramic material.

A pleatable high efficiency non-woven, gas filtration media is provided. The media has an electrically charged air laid fibrous layer with a thickness between about 2 and 35 mils, and a wet laid fibrous layer having a thickness of between about 5 and about 35 mils. The combined layers have, (a) a thickness of between about 10 and about 50 mils, (b) a stiffness of between about 200 and about 3500 mgs, (c) a Fraizer of between about 10 and about 400 CFM, and (d) an α of at least 15.

A microbicidal filter system having superior drop pressure and low complexity is provided, as well as a method for producing the same. The system comprises a plurality of glass beads (60) having pores formed therebetween for the flow of air therethrough. The sintered glass beads (60) are coated in a transition metal oxide and water. An ultraviolet light source (62) is used to cause a photocatalytic reaction between the transition metal oxide and water. Free hydroxyl radicals with microbicidal properties are formed. Urethane foam (28a, 28b) may be inserted between the glass beads (12) before sintering in order to cause a bimodal pore size distribution, and particulates (30a, 30b, 30c) disposed on the glass beads (912) bay be added to alter surface activity.
