Abstract:
A low pressure foaming nozzle assembly having a modular construction for permitting the ready interchange of nozzle tips. An elongate housing slideably receives a nozzle tip, a throat and a venturi deflector/nozzle to employ the venturi effect and draw air through radial ports into the housing. The housing cooperatively engages a foaming liquid source such as a wand, and upon pressure on the foaming liquid source, a foam is generated.
Abstract:
A fluid dispenser is used to dispense a foaming liquid from a container either as a spray or as a foam. The dispenser comprises a housing attached to a container of the liquid, a nozzle connected to the housing, a passage extending from the container interior to the nozzle orifice, a pump positioned along the passage, a valve positioned along the passage, and a foam generator attached to the nozzle. The nozzle has an orifice through which the fluid substance is dispensed. The valve is configured for alternating movement between an open and a closed position. The foam generator is configured to move with respect to the nozzle between a foaming position and a non-foaming position and is located adjacent the nozzle orifice when in the foaming position and remote from the orifice when in the non-foaming position. Alternatively, the fluid dispenser is used to dispense a liquid from a container either as a spray or as a stream. The alternate fluid dispenser is similar to the foaming fluid dispenser except that the foam generator is replaced with a stream generator.
Abstract:
A cover is laterally mounted on an inner assembly which is a unit including all structural elements except for the cover. The cover is fixed to the inner assembly at three portions. A fitting projection provided on the upper surface of a nozzle base is received in a fitting hole formed in the upper surface of the ceiling of the cover. A pair of opposed engaging pieces are formed on the lower surface of a cylinder and the upper surface of a valve assembly, respectively. An engaging piece engaging with a space between the opposed engaging pieces is formed on the lower end of the cover. A horizontal engaging groove is formed in the upper surface of the nozzle base behind the fitting projection on the nozzle base and a projection engageable with the engaging groove is formed on the inner surface of the ceiling of the cover.
Abstract:
An air aspirating nozzle for propelling a stream of foam or a slurry of solid particulates to a target surface includes a stream shaping member within the nozzle to form a rotating, columnar stream of liquid and air that maintains a high degree of coherence over a considerable throw distance. The stream shaping member includes a cylindrical body portion held axially in place within the nozzle body by a plurality of vanes extending between the body portion and the inner nozzle wall. The vanes are arranged in a forward-raked attitude, and the vane surfaces are configured to impart a rotation to a fluid column passing through the nozzle.
Abstract:
A two stage pressure build-up discharge valve assembly is mounted within the end of the discharge nozzle surrounded by a nozzle cap of a trigger actuated pump sprayer, and includes a spring biased discharge valve element having a high pressure throttle valve fixed to a second stage low pressure valve piston to provide a predetermined pressure threshold which when exceeded by fluid pressure generated by the pumping force applied during trigger actuation unseats immediately permitting the fluid pressure to act upon the low pressure secondary valve piston rapidly snapping the valve element to a full open flow position.
Abstract:
A foam generating device and unique process for generating same is provided which generates foam by passing a foamable liquid through a swirl chamber and orifice to produce a vortex spray of finely divided particles.
Abstract:
A foam dispenser comprises a nozzle cap which in turn includes a bottom with which collides the spray liquid discharged from an orifice formed in a foam dispenser body. At the bottom of this nozzle cap is a plurality of arms constituting an obstacle wall with which the spray liquid from the orifice collides, and a plurality of foam outlet ports defined by adjacent arms. Therefore, scattered spray streams and freely flowing liquid streams are alternately formed adjacent to one another. Locking devices are provided to lock the nozzle cap onto the foam dispenser body to prevent it from falling off.
Abstract:
A dispenser main body (11) includes a cylindrical-shaped fitted portion (16a), and a nozzle (40) includes: a nozzle main body (41) and a nozzle extension body (42). The nozzle (40) is provided with a dispensing tube (51) including: a first dispensing tubular portion (51a) and a cylindrical-shaped second dispensing tubular portion (51b). A cut-out (52a) is provided in the front end of the first dispensing tubular portion (51a) or in a base end of the second dispensing tubular portion (51b), and an opening end of the cut-out (52a) is closed by the first dispensing tubular portion (51a) or the second dispensing tubular portion (51b) to provide an air inlet hole (52) in the dispensing tube (51).
Abstract:
A foamer for use in dispensing a liquid product with a foam consistency includes a top cap, a closure, a housing, an air-flow diaphragm, a mesh screen and a valve structure. The closure includes a portion which is received by the cap and these two (2) cooperate to define a foam outlet. The housing is assembled into the closure and the diaphragm is assembled into the housing. The mesh insert is positioned adjacent the foam outlet. The valve structure is provided in two (2) embodiments, one being a duckbill valve with a corresponding holder and the other being a metering valve with a corresponding holder.
