    Abstract: The invention relates to a composition comprising (A) at least 5% by weight of en organic prepolymer P having at least two water-crossilnkable organosilicon end groups, (B) 0.01% to 3.0% by weight of boric acid and/or bone ester, and (C) 0.01% to 3.0% by weight of an amine component. Additionally disclosed is a method for the curing of these compositions and also the use of boric acid and/or boric esters and an amine component a condensation catalyst.

    Abstract: To provide a hydrophilic coating composition excellent in hydrophilicity, wear resistance, transparency, storage stability, antifogging properties, antifouling properties, visible light transmittivity, adhesion properties, chemical resistance, weather resistance, and water resistance and a hydrophilic member using the composition. The hydrophilic coating composition has (A) a ternary copolymer having a1) a repeating unit having a hydrophilic group, a2) a repeating unit having a hydroxyl group, an epoxy group, an isocyanato group, a blocked isocyanato group, a carboxylic acid anhydride group, or an amino group, and a3) a repeating unit having a hydrolyzable silyl group; and (B) a metal complex catalyst, wherein a content of the repeating unit a1) having a hydrophilic group is 50 mol % or greater.

    Abstract: A novel composition for use as a print head face plate coating. In particular, the coating comprises siloxyfluorocarbon (SFC), which is composed of networked precursors containing reactive siloxane groups attached to fluorocarbon chains. The present SFC coatings can be used to produce a surface whereby solid ink and ultraviolet (UV) curable inks do not adhere when applied at elevated temperatures and over an extended period of time. The advantages of the present coating are fewer print head related defects, and longer front face life.

    Abstract: The present invention has its object to provide a curable composition which comprises a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer, does not contain, as a silanol condensation catalyst, any organotin type curing catalyst currently of concern because of the toxic feature thereof, is excellent in surface curability and depth curability and, further, can provide cured products excellent in adhesiveness; the above object can be achieved by a curable composition which comprises: an organic polymer (A) containing a silicon-containing group capable of crosslinking under siloxane bond formation; and a guanidine compound (B-1), as a silanol condensation catalyst (B), represented by the general formula (1): R1N═C(NR12)2  (1) (wherein one of the five R1s is an aryl group and the other four R1s each independently is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group in which the carbon atom at position 1 is saturated).
