Abstract:
An elongated steel element adapted for the reinforcement of rubber products is covered with a ternary alloy or quaternary alloy coating of copper-M-zinc. M is one or two metals selected out of the group consisting of cobalt, nickel, tin, indium, manganese, iron, bismuth and molybdenum. The copper content inside the coating ranges from 58 weight percent to 75 weight percent. The content of the one or two metals inside said coating ranges from 0.5 weight percent to 10 weight percent. The remainder is zinc and unavoidable impurities. The one or two metals are present throughout the coating. Phosphorus is present on and/or in the coating in an amount of more than 1 and less than 4 milligram per square meter of the coating. The coating further comprises one or, ore compounds which complex with the copper in the coating to form an insoluble film on its surface. Good results are obtained for steam ageing and cured humidity adhesion. Furthermore, a corresponding method for manufacturing such an elongated steel element is disclosed.

Self-adherent composite reinforcement (R-2) adhering, by curing, to a diene rubber matrix, which can be used as reinforcing element for a tyre, comprising: one or more reinforcing thread(s) (20), for example a carbon steel cord; a first layer (21) of a thermoplastic polymer, the glass transition temperature of which is positive, for example a nylon-6,6 polyamide, covering, individually, said thread, each thread, or collectively several threads; and a second layer (22) comprising a functionalized diene elastomer bearing functional groups chosen from epoxide, carboxyl and acid anhydride or ester groups, for example an epoxidized natural rubber, covering the first layer (21). The invention relates to a composite reinforcement (R-2) which is self-adhesive by vulcanisation to a diene rubber die and which can be used as a reinforcement element for a tyre, comprising: one or more reinforcement wire(s) (20), for example a carbon-steel cable; a first layer (21) of a thermoplastic polymer with a positive glass-transition temperature covering said wire(s), for example a 6-6 polyamide; and a second layer (22) covering the first layer (21) and comprising a thermoplastic functionalised unsaturated styrene elastomer with a negative glass-transition temperature, said elastomer containing functional groups selected from among epoxide, carboxyl, anhydride and acid ester groups, for example an SBS-epoxy elastomer. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a composite reinforcement and to a semi-finished rubber product or item, in particular a tyre, including such a composite reinforcement.

The invention relates to a composite reinforcement (R-2) that is self-adhesive by firing with a diene rubber matrix, which can be used as a reinforcing element for a tyre, comprising: at least one reinforcement wire (20), for example a carbon-steel cable; a first layer (21) covering said wire and made of a thermoplastic polymer having a positive glass transition temperature, for example a polyamide 6-6; and a second layer (22) covering said first layer (21) and comprising an unsaturated thermoplastic styrene elastomer having a negative glass transition temperature, for example an SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) copolymer. The invention also relates to a method for making such a composite reinforcement, and to an article or semi-finished product made of rubber, in particular a tyre, including such a composite reinforcement.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Spannglied mit einer Monolitze 1, welche zum Zweck der Möglichkeit eines Austausches in einem Hüllrohr 7 allenfalls mit Abstand zwischen Monolitze 1 und Hüllrohr 7 angeordnet ist, wobei der Zwischenraum 8 durch ein Korrosionsschutzmittel, z.B. eine dauerplastische Masse ausgefüllt ist. Hiebei sind mehrere Hüllrohre 7 zu einem Band zusammenfasst.
