Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular plastic tile which: can sustain heavy loads; has non-slip characteristics; can be effectively joined together; can be provided in a plurality of colors per tile; and can be manufactured easily and inexpensively.SOLUTION: A plastic floor tile 102 comprises: a tile body 104 of a first polymer compound; and features overmolded onto the tile body from a second polymer compound. The polymer compounds are different from each other in hardness and/or color. The features include raised cushion members 106 on the upper surface and/or skins on support member cores downwardly depending from the tile lower surface. The cushion members 106 on the upper surface are injection-molded from the lower surface through through-holes. Lateral edges 202 and 204 of the tile 102 are provided with latches 206 which fit into loops 208 with an interference. The loops 208 flex in order to impose a compressive force on mating tile edges. The tile 102 includes an overmolded peripheral seal.
Abstract:
A temporary support surface, deck, walkway or roadway that includes a plurality of interlocked and interconnected lightweight universal panel mats (100, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 1100, 1500, 1800, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020) and one or more side ramps (2030) and adapters (2050). Each panel mat is made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat, textured or structured top surface to facilitate movement over the upper surface, a second section having geometry that includes a plurality of cells having top surfaces that support the first section and an optional third or bottom surface. The panel mats also have sides (110, 120, 135, 145) that are configured to matingly engage with the sides of similarly configured mats. Also, adapter elements are provided to assist with the installation of the mats. Also, the side ramps and adapters themselves are additional embodiments of the invention.
Abstract:
A lightweight universal panel mat (100, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 1100, 1500, 1800, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020) made of plastic or elastomeric material and having a first section that provides a relatively flat, textured or structured top surface to facilitate movement over the mat and a second section having geometry that includes a plurality of cells having top surfaces that support the first section. The panel mats have first, second, third and fourth sides (110,120,135,145) that are configured to matingly engage or connect to the second, third, fourth and first sides, respectively. The connection can be by insertion or snap-locking of one side to another, or by the use of fastening elements that more securely holds the sides together. Thus, similarly configured panel mats can be connected by interlocking to form a temporary support surface, deck, walkway or roadway. Additional side ramps (2030) and adapters (2050) can be used to facilitate installation of the mats (2005, 2010, 2015, 2020) and access to the upper surfaces of the joined mats.
Abstract:
A connection surface that is disposed on at least a portion of a face of a structural unit comprises a first convex surface and a first concave surface arranged substantially along a first line. The shape of the first concave surface is complementary to the shape of the first convex surface. A second convex surface and a second concave surface are arranged substantially along a second line that is substantially parallel to the first line. The shape of the second concave surface is complementary to the shape of the second convex surface. The concave-convex order of the second line is reversed relative to the first line, such that the second convex surface corresponds with the first concave surface and the second concave surface corresponds with the first convex surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a concrete panel using an expansion bag, a road paving method and a road repairing method, wherein, in paving a road by connecting with two or more concrete panels each other, According to the present invention, it is possible to easily adjust the horizontal height of the concrete panel, and to adjust the horizontal height of a concrete panel by correct data not by an experience of a constructor. In addition, According to the present invention, it is possible to construct the road at a low price.
Abstract:
A portable road mat including a body having a first end with a first face and a reciprocal second end with a second face. The first coupling is positioned at the first end and has a coupling portion extending from the first end comprising of two parts consisting of a large female coupling member and a smaller male coupling member for the receiving of like positioned members of the second face on the second end. The female and male couplings of the second end engage the reciprocal members of the first end allowing for vertical displacement but preventing separation.
Abstract:
A cluster of paving elements is formed with a peripheral edge having a re-entrant formation formed between the upper supporting surface and the lower, supported surface. The formation engages a complimentary formation on an adjacent cluster to inhibit relative movement between the clusters. The re-entrant formation may be applied to individual paving elements in the cluster or to the exposed faces of the elements at the periphery of the cluster. The elements in the cluster may be shaped to inter-engage to inhibit relative movement between the elements within the cluster.
Abstract:
There is described a paving block (1) for use in the construction of a paved surface, which paving block has a top surface (6), a bottom surface (5) and at least one lateral surface (7) extending between the top (6) and bottom surfaces (5) and abutting in use at least part of a lateral surface of at least one adjacent paving block, wherein a portion of the lateral surface of the paving block adjacent to the top surface is tapered (8). There is also described a paving block in which at least one of the lateral surfaces (7) has a channel (15) extending substantially from the top (6) to the bottom surface (5) whereby to provide a drainage path for surface water or other liquid through the channel when the paving block is laid with other such paving blocks to form a paved surface. There is further described porous paving systems for flood, rainwater and liquid spillage management incorporating such paving blocks.
Abstract:
The description relates to an artificial stone (1) for stabilising traffic areas in the open. In order to form broad seams between stones laid beside one another, this stone has one-piece identical spacer projections (5, 6) on its side surfaces (3, 4), the superimposed free end surfaces of the spacer projections (5, 6) have a tooth (10) and a recessed bearing surface (11) side by side for engaging with the adjacent stone (1). The sequence of tooth (10) and recess (11) for all spacer projections (5, 6) around the stone is identical; in a stone, the effective length of the individual side surfaces parallel to the laying plane is a single or whole-number multiple of a shortest effective length; each side surface section of the shortest effective length (3, 4) has a spacer projection (5, 6) and the median axis (12) of all spacer projections (5, 6) lies at the centre of the relevant side surface section. Here, the bearing surfaces are designed as a tooth gap (11) corresponding to the size of the tooth (10) and surrounding it on both sides to the laying plane and the relevant side surface, the flanges of the tooth (10) pointing in said direction on the one hand and the tooth gap (11) on the other form an angle of at least 90 DEG and the bisecting line (42, 43) of said angle is substantially parallel to the normal to the relevant side surface.
