Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain high-speed, stable towing and to improve operation efficiency and function operativity by extending an elastic body which differ in spring constant and extension length between airtight internal end surfaces of an airtight cylindrical case which has elasticity. CONSTITUTION:A joint plug 13 and a joint plug 14 are fixed by a clamping band 8 to both ends of the long-sized airtight cylindrical case 12 which is made of a rubber hose, plastic hose, etc., and has elasticity, and two large and small U- shaped metallic fixtures 15 and 16 are projected from inward end surfaces of the joint plugs 13 and 14. Then, the tension member 22 made of a steel wire, etc., having a different constant and extension length is extended between these U-shaped metallic fixtures 15 and 16. Consequently, when operation is carried out by using a long-sized body to be towed which incorporates a streamer for resource investigation, etc., high-speed, stable towing is possible and the operation efficiency and function operativity are improved.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for executing treatment of cable terminals and integration of sensors in a sensor station, in an ocean-bottom seismometer (OBS) cable array. SOLUTION: The sensor station includes a housing for various sensor constituent elements. The sensor station can house surplus-length parts of any one data transmission member which does not have to be divided in the sensor station, and one or more divided data transmission members can be connected to the sensor constituent elements.
