Abstract:
A method, system and apparatus for implementing a Multimedia Ring Back Tone (MRBT) service are provided. The method includes: receiving a call request originated by a calling terminal; parsing a tone playing policy specifying whether to play a caller tone or a callee tone or whether to filter a tone; performing caller tone media negotiation or callee tone media negotiation, or performing no tone negotiation according to the parsing result; and playing the caller tone or the callee tone to the caller, or playing no tone. With the technical solution of the present invention, the caller tone service can be implemented in the IMS domain. Whether a caller tone or a callee tone is played to the caller is determined according to a preset policy. Furthermore, the tone filtering service is also implemented. This gives a user freedom in experiencing the MRBT service.
Abstract:
A system comprising a first network element, a second network element and a communication device. The first network element is communicatively coupled to the second network element and the communication device. The communication device sends multimedia session information to the first network element. The first network element analyzes the multimedia session information for urgent emergency circumstances. The first network element forwards the multimedia session information to a destination on the second network element if urgent emergency circumstances are found in the multimedia session information.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method in a wireless device provide for reestablishing a dropped call, wherein a wireless device determines a wireless device callback priority, wherein the wireless device callback priority is relative to a second communication device callback priority associated with a second communication device, wherein the wireless device and the second communication device are established in a communication session. A dropped call between the wireless device and the second communication device is detected. In response to detecting the dropped call, and the wireless device callback priority being higher than the second communication device callback priority, the wireless device calls back the second communication device. If, during the calling back, a match between a callback identifier and an incoming caller identifier of an incoming call is detected, the calling back is terminated, and the incoming call is answered.
Abstract:
Subscribers of an enhanced communication system are enabled to indicate invocation or clearing of media specific features such as music-on-hold or video-on-hold. The invocation or clearing is transmitted to participating end points as a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) re-INVITE message with Session Description Protocol (SDP) attribute descriptions identifying the feature, applicable media channels and whether the message is for invocation or clearing of the feature.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to managing communication events in a Communication System at least comprising a first communication device (1), associated with a first user named Caller; a second communication device (2), associated with a second user named Callee; a central component, named Gatekeeper (3), being connected to said first and second communication devices (1, 2) to mediate communication connections between the Caller and the Callee, wherein said Gatekeeper (3) is also connected to said users' workstations (1, 2). A method is provided for reducing or preventing a negative impact of communication-based interruptions on a user's work. The invention relates to the case that a communication connection is established and, therefor, proposes to initiate state-saving actions on the workstation (1, 2) of at least one user involved in said communication.
Abstract:
A system and method is disclosed to provide recommendations to a wireless device, based on stored bookmark/short-cut data. When a wireless device accesses services, data pertaining to the service access, along with any context related information is transmitted within the wireless device, or to a remote server. The data is processed in conjunction with bookmarks/short-cuts specified within the device, and are organized and presented to the wireless device in accordance with preference instructions specified within the wireless device.
Abstract:
A system for scheduling and transmitting messages is disclosed. The system stores a plurality of audio files in an audio database, generates a schedule of queued messages via the plurality of audio files, transmits the queued messages based on the schedule, and reconfigures the schedule based on a user interaction delivering the queued messages in accordance with the reconfigured schedule. A scheduled plurality of messages can be transmitted in a clear and professional manner. Additionally, “ad hoc” messages can be incorporated into the schedule without significantly disrupting the other messages.
Abstract:
In order to achieve secure provision of appropriate information according to the status of a plurality of terminal apparatuses, a status detecting section detects the status of a cellular mobile phone, and the like, and a communication destination apparatus determining section selects a terminal apparatus with which communication can be established and at which received information can be presented according to the priority for transmission of the provided information. A content DB retrieves information to be provided. A server communication section transmits retrieved provided information to the selected terminal apparatus. With such a structure, the provided information is presented at another terminal apparatus when a terminal apparatus having a high priority is impossible to establish communication or is unsuitable for presentation of the provided information. Thus, provision of information is securely achieved.
Abstract:
Method of confirming the establishment of a voice connection, such as a VoIP connection, between first and second end stations coupled to a packet switched communications network. The voice connection is used to transfer an audible request from the first end station to the second end station, to ask the user of the second end station to generate a predetermined vocal response. The first end station compares any response from the second end station to the predetermined vocal response. The connection is determined to be established in response to a successful comparison. The predetermined vocal response includes a predetermined speech sequence comprising characters, a word or words, and a speech recognition procedure is applied to the received response to determine the presence of any speech sequence for comparison with the predetermined sequence. If a fault is detected an alternative connection is established to execute a process to correct the fault.
Abstract:
A data processing unit which vocalizes web page data, including non-textual information contained therein, such as font size specifications. A call reception unit accepts a call signal from a user's telephone set. A speech recognition unit recognizes the user's verbal messages received from the telephone set. When a request for a particular web page is detected by the speech recognition unit, a web page data collector makes access to the requested web page to obtain its web page data. A text data extractor extracts every block of text data from the obtained web page data. An attribute extractor extracts attributes of each block extracted by the text data extractor. A vocalization order decision unit determines in what order to vocalize the blocks, evaluating the attributes of each block extracted by the attribute extractor. A vocalizer converts text data contained in the blocks into speech, based on the block vocalization order determined by the vocalization order decision unit.
