Abstract:
A safe nursing system includes a control unit and monitors movement of a patient on a bed. The control unit sets, for each patient, a correspondence relationship between a plurality of types of predetermined movements and a plurality of alert levels based on conditions; calculates a value of a predetermined index used to determine a predetermined movement of the patient; sets a predetermined condition to determine the predetermined movement; determines the predetermined movement based on the calculated value and the set predetermined condition; and outputs information indicating that the patient has performed the predetermined movement at the alert level indicated by the correspondence relationship set for the patient in accordance with the predetermined movement, under the condition that the predetermined movement has been determined to have been performed. It is possible to give a notification to a caregiver based on the condition of each patient.
Abstract:
Conditions regarding attributes of images for generating multi-frame image data including plural frames of images in one file from image data are previously stored. When image data is received, multi-frame image data is generated from the received image data based on incidental information included in the image data and the previously stored conditions. Then, the generated multi-frame image data is archived. When a request for an image is made by a certain terminal, an application functioning on the terminal is identified, and multi-frame image data compliant with the application is transmitted from among the generated multi-frame image data.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a data set comprising at least one medical data from a first imaging station to at least one other imaging station via a network interface in a DICOM standard communication system is provided. The method comprises the acts of selecting a first medical data from the data set for transmission; checking a memory of the first imaging station for a receipt of an acknowledgement signal indicative of a successful transmission of the first medical data to the at least one other imaging station; transmitting the medical data if the act of checking does not detect the receipt of acknowledgement signal; receiving the acknowledgment signal from the at least one other imaging station in response to a successful receipt of the first medical data at the at least one other imagine station; and storing the receipt of acknowledgement signal in the memory of the first imaging station.
Abstract:
A radiation image capturing system includes at least one image capturing apparatus including a radiation detector, at least one image capturing apparatus including a stimulable phosphor panel for generating radiation image information, which is readable by an image reading apparatus, and at least one control device for controlling at least the image capturing apparatus and the image reading apparatus based on image capturing instruction information supplied from an external source. The control device includes a change setting unit for changing settings of the image capturing instruction information depending on whether the image capturing apparatus and the image reading apparatus are usable or not, and a controller for controlling the image capturing apparatus and the image reading apparatus based on the changed settings of the image capturing instruction information.
Abstract:
A system for performing a medical procedure on a patient is provided. The system can include an imaging head defining a field of view relative to the patient. The imaging head can include at least one transmitter that emits at least one signal in the field of view, and at least one receiver that receives at least one reflected signal from the field of view. The at least one reflected signal received can be based on at least one electrical property of at least one material in the field of view. The system can further include a workstation, which can determine, based on the at least one reflected signal received by the at least one receiver, a location of at least one boundary of the material within the field of view. The system can include a display that displays an image of the location of the at least one boundary.
Abstract:
Communication-identifier-assigned image data is transmitted via a set channel using the same as a communication identifier set for each image transmitter and a channel set in transmission. Then, a receiver which has received a plurality of image data items stores the received image data items, communication identifiers, and channels in such a manner that the received image data items are related to the communication identifiers and channels. Thumbnailed images in each image data item are displayed on one screen. When an image is selected from the thumbnailed images, an image transmitter that has transmitted the image is determined on the basis of the communication identifier and channel related to the selected image and is connected exclusively to the receiver. Images acquired from this time on are enlarged and displayed chronologically on a display section. The image transmitter and receiver constitute a wireless communication system.
Abstract:
A carrier for transporting a section of flexible phosphor imaging medium through a scanner has a flexible support having a front surface and a back surface, at least one releasable retaining element coupled to the flexible support for holding a first surface of the section of flexible phosphor imaging medium against the front surface of the flexible support, and a flexible frame extending at least partially along the perimeter of the flexible support and having a thickness above the front surface of the flexible support that is substantially the same as the thickness of the section of flexible phosphor imaging medium that is held against the front surface.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are described for retrieving information from a storage medium. A first portion of the surface of the storage medium is exposed to stimulating light which diffuses in the storage medium under a second portion of the surface adjacent the first portion. The second portion of the surface is shielded from exposure to the stimulating light. Stimulated light corresponding to the information is received with at least one detector positioned to receive the stimulated light via the second portion of the surface of the storage medium. The stimulated light is released from the storage medium in response to the stimulating light diffused under the second portion of the surface.
Abstract:
A job control device, a multifunction device, and an operation method thereof are provided. The job control device includes a middleware unit that supports connection with a multifunction device comprising multiple devices having independent functions, and a job control unit that controls performing of a job by at least one device from among the plurality of devices through the middleware unit. A multifunction device includes a multiple devices that have independent functions and a middleware unit that requests a job call to the job control device. A device, from among the plurality of devices, called from the job control device through the middleware unit executes a corresponding function.
Abstract:
An auxiliary scanning feed mechanism has a pair of curved feed guides for guiding a stimulable phosphor sheet along a curved feed path, and first and second roller pairs rotatable in synchronism with each other for gripping and feeding the stimulable phosphor sheet along the curved feed path. The first and second roller pairs have respective first and second drive rollers disposed inwardly of respective curved sections of the curved feed guides and respective first and second driven rollers.
