Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus with a small and simple configuration capable of certainly fixing/fix-releasing a moving type optical unit, and making none of members become independent from the body of the apparatus on the occasion of fixing/fix-releasing. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus comprises a chassis having a manuscript table on which a manuscript is laid, a moving optical unit provided at inside of the chassis in a reciprocating enable fashion in parallel to the manuscript table and used for reading of an image information of the manuscript laid on the manuscript table, a moving member for fixing provided at an outer side of the chassis in a reciprocating fashion at a substantially right angle direction in relation to a direction of movement of the moving type optical unit, and a holding member for keeping the position of and holding the moving member for fixing in relation to the chassis. The moving member for fixing can be moved to a position where the moving type optical unit is fixed and a position where fixing of the moving type optical unit is released. Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes an image reading unit, a mounting portion, and a cover member. The cover member includes a first restricting portion, a lock portion, and an operation portion. The operation portion operated from outside the main unit is displaceable in a direction in which the lock portion deforms from the locking shape into the releasing shape. The mounting portion includes a second restricting portion and a part. The second restricting portion restricts displacement of the operation portion in the cover member mounted on the mounting portion in the second orientation. The part has a second aperture opening into the lock portion in the cover member mounted on the mounting portion in the second orientation from outside the main unit. The second aperture is an opening for the insertion of a tool for deforming the lock portion from the locking shape into the releasing shape.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a frame in which a carriage configured to reciprocate along a predetermined direction is disposed, and a unit disposed to be openable with respect to the frame. A first engaging portion is formed on the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus is capable of restricting a movement of the carriage at least in the predetermined direction with use of a securing component including a second engaging portion engageable with the first engaging portion. When the securing component is attached to the carriage, and then the unit is closed with the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion engaging with each other, the securing component is sandwiched and fixed between the frame and the unit.
Abstract:
To provide an image reading apparatus for enabling an optical carriage movably supported in a rail member to be locked reliably in a predetermined position of an apparatus frame without causing failure by shock in transport, one of the apparatus frame and optical carriage is provided with a lock member traveling between a release position and a lock position, and a biasing member for biasing the lock member in a predetermined direction, and the other one is provided with an engagement receiving portion being fitted with an engagement portion formed in the lock member. Then, the engagement portion and the engagement receiving portion are configured to inhibit movements in the scanning direction of the optical carriage in the lock position, and the biasing force of the biasing member is concurrently configured to act on the carriage in the direction orthogonal to the scanning direction so as to increase friction between the carriage and a traveling rail.
Abstract:
An image-reading apparatus, including a housing, a document table placed on the housing for receiving document, a movable optical unit placed on the document table for reading the image information on the document, the movable optical unit being placed reciprocally movably in the housing in directions parallel to the document table; a locking member placed movably on the housing external face for locking the movable optical unit; and a holding mechanism for holding the locking member variable in posture between a first posture of locking the movable optical unit and a second posture of unlocking the movable optical unit.
Abstract:
An optical assembly lock/unlock apparatus includes an interlock mechanism configured to selectively lock an optical assembly in a fixed position relative to a scan engine and unlock the optical assembly relative to the scan engine when the scan engine is to be removed from and secured to a print engine.
Abstract:
A shock lockup apparatus is mounted on the chassis of an image scanning device includes a stopping block and a lockup module, with part of the transmission belt driving the chassis of the image scanning device being placed in between. In such a manner, when the image scanning device is being moved and the chassis receives shock or momentum, then the locking unit of the lockup module will move toward the stopping block to clip the transmission belt and fix the chassis synchronously.

Abstract:
A movable part locking jig is loaded into a cassette loader in a radiation image forming apparatus, and a lever is moved to project casing locking members from opposite side walls of a casing, thereby locking the movable part locking jig in the radiation image forming apparatus. Movable part locking members also projects to be brought into abutment against suction cups disposed near the cassette loader, thereby locking the suction cups. Then, the radiation image forming apparatus is moved to a desired location.
Abstract:
A scan unit improved in stability and reliability, and an image forming apparatus having the same. The scan unit includes a scan frame having a document tray for putting a document thereon; a reading sensor moving under the document tray and thereby reading the document; a cover selectively opening and closing the document tray; and a locking unit locking and releasing the reading sensor together with the cover.
