Abstract:
An integral image reading/writing head (A) having a support means (7) capable of supporting at least one of a pair of platen rollers (P1, P2) and a detection means (2) capable of detecting at least one of an original document (D) and recording paper (K); and an image processor provided with the head (A) and produced easily due to the above constructed head. The head (A) is further provided with an antireflection member (6) surrounding collectively a plurality of photodetectors (3) and drive IC chips (80), thereby preventing, with ease, the photodetectors (3) from receiving scattered light and disturbance light.
Abstract:
Example implementations relate to a scan carriage of a print apparatus. In some examples, a system may include a print carriage to transit across a print zone of the print apparatus and a scan carriage selectably attachable to the print carriage to transit across the print zone of the print apparatus.
Abstract:
A webcam device having a maneuverable extendable arm pivotally anchored to an anchor point, (such as a stand-alone, desk-top base in a preferred embodiment of the present invention), and whose miniature video camera, in an unobtrusive manner, can be centrally positioned at about eye level between a user and a computer monitor so as to capture an image of the face and eyes of the user engaged in a conversation with another user and thereby establish virtual eye contact between them.
Abstract:
Disclosed are embodiments of methods, systems, and apparatus for providing multiple image fields or regions on an imaging array. In certain preferred embodiments, a high density imaging array may be partitioned into two or more regions, each of which may be used to render a separate view of the scan volume. This arrangement may provide an increase in the effective scan volume beyond the volume available with a single imager having a single point of view and may allow for reading of encoded symbols at a variety of orientations that would otherwise preclude accurate imaging with a single imager.
Abstract:
An apparatus (2) for positioning a page of a book for imaging, comprises a support (8) for supporting the book with its pages open in a desired position, and a page positioning member (10) for positioning a page in an imaging position. The page positioning member (10) is movable from its page positioning position so as to permit a subsequent page of the book to be turned, the page positioning member (10) then being returnable to its page positioning position to allow the subsequent page to be positioned thereon.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a scanning device for capturing the image information of a photo-excitable image carrier (44). Said scanning device (10) is configured to be wall-mounted in such a way that the device (10) can be mounted on the wall, substantially parallel to the latter, by means of its largest lateral surface.
Abstract:
An image printing/reading apparatus in which a reference white board for prescanning can be prevented from being soiled with ink, and the influence of stray light from a paper discharge port can be reduced. A commonality of a print sheet path for conveyance of print sheet and a document path for conveyance of document is at least partially realized as a common path. A reading unit 28 is provided with reference white board 25 for shading correction used upon execution of prescanning. Upon execution or document reading, the reading unit 28 and the reference white board 25 are moved to a document reading position. On the other hand, upon execution of prescanning, the reading unit 28 and the reference white boar 25 are moved to a retreat position where the influence of ambient light is reduced. Further, upon printing, the reading unit 28 and the reference white board 25 are also moved to the retreat position for preventing the reference white board 25 from being soiled with ink.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device consisting of a housing in the form of a stand containing an electronic circuit, a step motor and a transmission system with a guide projecting outward. Said device is designed for holding sheets of paper containing data that is to be recorded in computers and for indicating the data line that is being currently recorded. Said circuit is connected to the parallel port of a computer, from which the parameters pertaining to the movements of the guide such as top and bottom page margins, line spacing, forward and backward movements and the breaks at the end and beginning of each page can be changed at any time using a resident program. The invention can be used in informatics in general with the aim of achieving a more productive, reliable and comfortable data recording process.
