An imaging apparatus includes: a reading device that reads a recording file on which a plurality of groups of information of character strings are stored in advance; a displaying device that displays any one group of the plurality of groups of the information of character strings; a selecting device that selects one desired group of information of character strings from the plurality of groups of the information of character strings; and a recording device that records shooting completion information that indicates shooting corresponding to the one desired group of the information of character string has been completed on the recording file, when shooting is performed in a state where the one desired group of the information of character string is selected, wherein when one group of the plurality of groups of the information of character strings is selected and displayed, based on the shooting completion information, the displaying device displays the selected one group of the information of character strings, and a display of completed shooting information that indicates an image corresponding to the selected one group of the information of character strings has been shot together.

There is disclosed a method for generating data for a recording medium. The method includes receiving original content data representing a plurality of still images and identifying a first subset of the still images to be recorded with copy-protection and a second subset of the still images to be recorded without copy-protection. The method also includes converting data representing the first subset into moving image data and copy-protecting the moving image data. The method also includes generating new content data, the new content data including the copy-protected moving image data and data representing the second subset.

The feature amount of a region to be processed containing a page image contained in the reference comparison image is extracted. A target comparison image corresponding to the reference comparison image is retrieved from a storage medium by using the extracted feature amount. The retrieved image is processed.

An image recording apparatus which records a stamp image to identify a recording sheet onto the recording sheet on which an image is recorded. The apparatus comprises an input unit to input image data, a memory unit to store stamp image data, a recording unit to record the image data from the input unit and the stamp image data from the memory unit onto a recording sheet, and a number of copies setting circuit to set the number of copies which are recorded by the recording unit. When specific image data is received from a specific partner apparatus, the recording unit performs the recording of one copy irrespective of the set number of copies. The recording unit can be applied to a facsimile apparatus, a printer, a copying apparatus, or the like. The recording unit selects the different stamp image data from the memory every recording of each copy and records the selected stamp image data onto the recording sheet.

An image reading system and an image reading apparatus is provided. The system or apparatus includes a reading unit configured to read an original, a determining unit configured to determine whether there exists a folded portion at a corner of the original, and a generating unit configured to generate a file including an image area which stores image data of the original read by the reading unit and a non-image area which stores data other than the image data, and configured to write fold information in the non-image area if the determining unit determines that there exists a folded portion, the fold information indicating that the folded portion exists in the read original.
