    Abstract: PURPOSE:To rapidly form a mixed soln. with accurate concn. in a mixing part and to contribute to the increase of a printing speed. CONSTITUTION:In an on-demand ink jet printer wherein the ink soln. from a pressure transmission chamber 3 and the ink from an ink quantifying part (electroosmosis membrane device) are mixed in a mixing part 5 to form a mixed soln. and an electrostriction vibrator 4 is intermittently driven corresponding to printing data to intermittently emit the mixed soln. from an orifice 6, when the transmition of ink is not desired, the electroosmosis membrane part 13 of the ink quantifying part 2 is driven by a pulse having polarity inverse to that of the pulse at the transmission of the ink. By this constitution, braking force is generated in the electroosmosis membrane part 13 by the pulse of inverse polarity to prevent the transmission of the ink and, therefore, the ink can be accurately and rapidly quantified.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily inject a chemical without being affected by the ascending flow in a solution tank by dipping a membrane module in a slurry of the chemical, separating a saturated soln. through the module and injecting the soln. into a specified place. CONSTITUTION:This injector consists of a tank 1 contg. a slaked lime slurry, etc., and a process pump 2. An agitator 3 is set in the tank 1, and an external pressure-type membrane module 4 is dipped. The module 4 is connected to the pump 2 through a liq. pipe 5 and further to the injection point from the outlet of the pump 2 through an injection pipeline 6 and an injection valve 7. The pump 2 is started when the soln. is injected, and the saturated soln. of slaked lime is sucked and filtered by the module 4 and supplied to the injection point through the pipeline 5, and the injection valve 7 of the pipeline 6. The amt. of the soln. to be injected is controlled by the speed of the pump 2.
