    Abstract: A nonlinear signal transducer U, such as a light-emitting diode or a semiconductive laser, is maintained at a suitable operating point by a constant biasing current and receives an electrical input signal by way of a series resistor R from a main amplifier AM of variable gain. The output voltage of the main amplifier is detected and integrated to provide a first reference voltage which is compared with the load voltage of the transducer U in a differential amplifier AE1, forming part of a first feedback loop, to adjust a voltage generator GT controlling the output voltage of the main amplifier AM so as to eliminate any voltage drop across the series resistor R as long as the input signal is absent or has an instantaneous magnitude equal to its mean value. A second feedback loop includes a peak-to-peak detector DP which emits a voltage proportional to the signal amplitude, that voltage being compared with a second reference voltage in a differential amplifier AE2 serving to adjust a current generator GC1 which controls the gain of the main amplifier AM. The second reference voltage may be varied manually or in response to changes in the output of the transducer U.

    Abstract: A device to be used in phonometric measurements on telephone equipment, simulating a human ear, has a generally disk-shaped body with an annular ridge encompassing a frustoconical central recess serving as a wide-open entrance cavity. The body has several internal cavities communicating with the recess through restricted channels, namely a pair of major cavities resonant at low audio frequencies, an intermediate cavity resonant in the middle audio range, and a minor cavity resonant at high audio frequencies, the last-mentioned cavity having the shape of a narrow cylinder extending generally along the body axis. A microphone, connected to a measuring circuit, rises from the bottom of the recess to substantially the top level of the surrounding ridge to pick up incoming sounds at that level.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain proper geometry deformation to any facial model by converting a driving voice signal into readable voice data in a prescribed process, and converting the data into a parameter indicating basic deformation. SOLUTION: A driving voice signal is converted into voice data readable by a machine, and those data are converted into a parameter indicating basic deformation to be applied to a model. As for the conversion of the voice data, an individual voice information item or voice information item group is related with each information item (bism) indicating the corresponding position of the mouth of a speaker. Also, each bism is divided into macroparameter groups for featuring the shape of a mouth and the positions of lips and a jaw, and each macroparameter of the prescribed bism is related with a strength value indicating displacement from a neutral position. Also, the macroparameter is divided into parameters selected from a standard face animation parameter group, and the parameters are related with strength values depending on the strength value of the macroparameter.
