The present invention relates to a method for drying crockery housed in a tub (2) of a dishwasher (1), in which dishwasher (1) the crockery is subjected, in the course of a wash cycle, to the washing action of a wash liquid flow generated by water circulation means (11) and conveyed onto said crockery through a hydraulic circuit, comprising the step of generating an air flow through air circulation means and conveying the air flow into the tub (2) and onto the crockery, thus removing humidity therefrom, wherein the air circulation means coincide with the water circulation means (11).

The present invention relates to an innovative method for estimating the value of the weight of the contents of the oscillating assembly of an electronically controlled household appliance, wherein the oscillating assembly is connected to the frame by means of a suspension system comprising at least one damper (1). The damper (1) comprises at least two elements adapted to move reciprocally, at least one magnetic element, preferably at least one permanent magnet (9), and at least one magnetic sensor, preferably a Hall effect or magnetoresistive sensor (12). The magnetic element and the magnetic sensor are housed in the damper (1) so as to detect the reciprocal motion of the two elements, and the magnetic sensor can generate an electric signal depending on the distance between the two elements. The method comprises the steps of: i) reading an initial value of an electric parameter, in particular voltage, of the electric signal when the oscillating assembly of the household appliance is empty; ii) identifying a mathematical function on the basis of the initial value and of a plurality of predetermined parameters, which relates the electric parameter, in particular voltage, to the weight of the contents of the oscillating assembly of the household appliance; iii) reading a further value of the electric parameter, in particular voltage, after said contents has been loaded into the oscillating assembly, and iv) estimating the value of the weight of said contents by using said mathematical function and said further value of the electric parameter. The present invention also relates to a household appliance adapted to implement said innovative method.

The present invention relates to a front-loading laundry washing machine which comprises an external structure (2) having a load opening (3) for placing laundry into a drum (5). During the wash, the load opening is closed by means of a door (6) hinged to the external structure of the machine. The latter also comprises a washing agent dispenser (7) associated with the door (6) and comprising at least one inlet aperture (71) for water supply and at least one outlet (73) through which the water supplied can flow out. The washing machine also comprises movable closing means (11) adapted to prevent any fluids from flowing through the dispenser outlet.

A washer comprises: a washing tank (2); a detector (3) for the water level in the washing tank (2); a washer (1) electronic control unit (4), the electronic control unit (4) being electrically connected to a first and a second electric conductor (51, 52) which in turn can be connected to a movable switch (5) controlled by the detector (3) depending on the water level in the washing tank (2). The first and second electric conductors (51, 52) transfer to the electronic control unit (4) at least three different items of information relating to the water level in the washing tank (2). Said transfer is carried out according to a binary logic linked to whether or not an electric current passes in each electric conductor (51, 52). Each item of information corresponds to one of the corresponding different configurations of the switch (5).
