Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for testing modules comprising boundary scanning cells and fitted with a plurality of different components. It is possible with the boundary scanning process to test both the internal logic of the components and the external logic from element to element or their connections, but not the input and output signal lines of the module. In order to be able to test it as well using the boundary scanning cells in the elements, according to the invention, a module output signal line (2) is connected via an adapter (1) to one or more module input signal lines (3) and the external test mode as per the boundary scan testing process is then performed.
Abstract:
The process is designed to discover whether the data sent from the transmitter (SE) to the receiver (EM) have been tapped and subsequently fed back in and/or altered without authority. To this end the signature (S) allocated to the useful data (D) is symmetrically coded using a combination of coupling data (K) characterising the coupling between the transmitter and the receiver and random data (Z) provided by a random generator. The coupling data are transmitted uncoded, while the random data are coded. It is possible at the reception end to detect whether the message transmitted has been tapped and fed back into the system if the coupling data are incorrect. An alteration to the transmitted message can be detected in that the code used to encode the signature, which is obtained from a combination of coupling data and random data with the aid of a one-way function, does not correspond to the code obtained at the receiver during decoding and thus the decoding of the encoded signature gives an incorrect result. This is recognised on verification of the signature.
Abstract:
In order to control an energy-saving state of a cathode screen (M) by a control device (PC) connected thereto via a standard interface (SS) for its operation without the individual devices' being restricted to use in an arrangement with instruments tuned to one another relatively to the control of the energy-saving state, there are means for transmission, independent of the function of the standard interface (SS), of information (SB) controlling the energy-saving state of the cathode screen (M) in coded form between the control device and the cathode screen (PC and M).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cassette (10) to take a stack (26) of sheets with a pressure component (44) bearing on a first end surface of the stack (26) and movable in the direction of pressure, with a drive motor to move the pressure component (44) so that the end surface of the stack (26) away from the pressure component (44) can bear against extractor components (58) of a sheet extraction device, and with a measuring device (76) to determine the pressure of the stack (26) against the extractor components (58), in which an output signal from the measuring device (76) is used to control the drive motor (50) in order to attain a predetermined pressure. The stack (26) and the pressure component (44) are arranged in a slide (24) which is contained in the cassette (10) to be movable in the direction of movement of the pressure component (44), which can be moved by the drive motor (50) in relation to the slide (24). Said slide is pressed towards the extractor components (58) by a force (F1) dependent on distance.
Abstract:
Described is a method of fixing a polystyrene-based toner on a reproduction medium (AT) in a printing or copying machine, a solvent (LM) being vaporized in a fixing device (FR) and allowed to act in the vaporized state on the toner. Used as the solvent are partly halogenated fluorocarbons such as R183 or R141b which have a low polluting action and which have a high solvent action on toners with a non-crosslinked polymer matrix comprising a base matrix made from polystyrene and meta-acrylates.
Abstract:
As a micromodel for a load for a system component as the quantity of block accesses required by a program, a reference string is generated, for the blocks of which its block frequencies and stack distance frequencies are updated in order to obtain therefrom frequency quotients by means of which the next block to be referenced is determined. A reference string thus generated is remarkably true to the profile. The process is applicable especially to the simulation of, for example, hierarchically organized and structured storage systems.
Abstract:
Rails (6) are fitted parallel to the top of the housing inside the side walls of a cubic housing. After the cover (1) has been fitted on the casing (2) of the housing, the U-section of the rail (6) surrounds a support (7) opposite it and secured to the casing (2). A plurality of permanently fixed spring-steel strips (3) is fitted between the rail (6) and the support (7).
Abstract:
A supporting arrangement for a machine (2) that stands on feet (4) at a distance from the floor surface has at least one supporting element (12) provided with a holding piece (44) that grips the lower part of the machine (2) in a working position and that is detachably linked to a foot (4), as well as an extension arm (46) arranged on the holding piece (44). The holding section (44) is designed as an essentially U-shaped hoop with two arms (22, 24) that rest sideways on a foot (4), in the mounted position; stop surfaces (42) that cooperate with complementary surfaces of the foot (4) are formed on the holding section (44) in order to fix the holding section (44) on the foot (4), perpendicularly to the floor surface. The arms (22, 24) are provided at their ends with devices (25, 28) for coupling them with the arms (24', 22') of a second supporting element (14).
Abstract:
An arrangement for supplying sheet material to a further sheet transport system of a machine, for example a printer, has several sheet material storage stations that are each provided with a supply channel that opens into the sheet transport system and with at least one set of friction rollers that can be selectively driven or stopped. The sets of friction rollers (28, 50) of each storing station (2, 4) are provided each with a mechanical switching clutch (72, 74) which allows them to be selectively coupled to a common driving motor, and the switching clutches (72, 74) are provided each with a clutch actuator (8, 96) that cooperate with a control cam element (38) that is common to all actuators (88, 96) and that is linked to a control motor (108). Several sets of friction rollers can thus be operated with a single control motor.
Abstract:
A weighing device for self-service of goods in department stores has a dormant scale (2) arranged in an upwardly open, floor-mounted enclosure (3). The dormant scale (2) has a device (8) for hanging at least one removable carrying container (11). The dormant scale is protected against possible outer influences by the floor-mounted enclosure (3), so that delays are avoided during the weighing process. The arrangement of the carrying container (11) on the dormant scale (2) allows buyers to leave the weighing area more quickly with the weighed goods. A shopping container, for example a shopping trolley (21), may also be used as a weighing receptacle for the scale in the floor-mounted enclosure (3). For that purpose, the dormant scale (50, 60) is designed with a U-shape when viewed from above and is provided with support elements (52, 71) for the shopping container.
